喜欢: This was one of the closest adults-only campsites we found, and I must say it was pretty good. The site overall was clean, with plenty of pitch locations, and benches were available throughout. You have everything you need for a short stay. Overall, we were happy with it.

不喜欢: Facilities could be frequently maintained.

不喜欢: No bins, poor facilities, long grass. Also Pitchup states a pub in walking distance. There is but may or may not be open and doesn’t serve food. Food trucks are sometimes on pub site.

来自经理: I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay and didn’t raise any of your issue to us while on site if you had we could have addressed some of them and informed you where the bin was. The facilities are well advertised, and reviewed with pictures so I am unsure why these were an issue for you. There is long grass around the front paddock and down the track however the grass on the camping field and woodland is maintained regularly.

As for the pub it is a short walk away and is now under new management. we sadly can not control their standards or services as they are not affiliated with us in anyway. We do, when appropriate inform guests of the recent issues with the pub and provide alternative recommendations. There are many other pubs in the area either a further walk or a short drive. Also with Romsey only 5 miles away there are good quality local takeaways that deliver to the area.

喜欢: Friendly campsite owner. Lovely spot in a wooded area close to the Mottisfont. We were able to use our fire pit to have barbecues and were able to purchase logs onsite.
Facilities basic but good (space to wash dishes outside by the toilets).

不喜欢: Only one shower was available which meant that during busy periods it would mean queuing.

喜欢: Location. Perfect. A peaceful forrest. Basic facilities but that was OK.
The host was a lovely lady who was very helpful and friendly.
Great that it was adults only.

不喜欢: The noisy group of younger people. One of the guys had an annoyingly loud laugh, ( at least he was enjoying himself).
To be fair the party stopped at 11 pm. But he was back up by 7am!!!!

喜欢: The personal approach. The owner clearly cares about everyone there and makes the effort to talk to them.

She’s lovely and honestly made us feel so comfortable.

不喜欢: Just not enough facilities for everyone there. The one shower just meant you were having to constantly watch when it might be free.

Could do With a bit more info at the check. I felt bad having to phone so much.

喜欢: Nice location with walks to meadow and local pub (that opens at 5pm). Fire pits are allowed with firewood available on-site. Happy to accommodate a group of 8 with 5 campervans.

不喜欢: WC & shower facilities need updating, couldn’t find anywhere to empty grey waste.

喜欢: The camping areas were lovely. Really nice wild feel and layout. Space dedicated for larger groups.

We managed to find an available firepit on the second night, which was really great.

Just on the edge of the new forest - perfect for going exploring and less than an hour to the beach.

不喜欢: Self acknowledged by owner, the toilets, single shower for whole site, and washing up facility are on their last legs (due to be replaced once planning permission can be secured) but until then a bit ramshackle and could be cleaner.

Work in the adjacent farmyard (machinery, chainsaws) disturbed the peace both evenings, and there seemed to be an industrial fan running all night.

来自经理: Thank you for your review and I'm sorry you were not aware that we are a working farm. machinery is often used to tend to the animals we try to keep it's use as short as possible. The fan you heard is for our environmentally controlled calf unit and is on all the time we have young calves in as far as we are aware this doesn't normally cause a disturbance to our guests this is the first it has been mentioned to us. And a chainsaw was used for under 15,minutes.
The toilets are an issue that we are aware of and and trying to deal with to the best of our abilities. We also make all guests aware of the situation on arrival if not beforehand via email. The floor is often muddy especially when it has been raining. But the sinks, toilets and shower are usually clean. This weekend in particular I was present and on site constantly checking in I am unsure why If you had any issues you did not mention them to myself while you were onsite.
