喜欢: Site was nice pitch was very good with elec water and waste water and also had a small hedge around it which made it a little more private, 5 small pond/lakes for fishing if your into that, nice cafe on site and prices reasonable.

不喜欢: Only one toilet and one shower which was OK as only 5 caravans on site but site has 15 spaces so could probably do with more when full. Didn't like that the get waste point and elsa point didnt have a cover in.

喜欢: Lovely and quiet little site in the country side. Shower and toilet clean even though there is only 1 of each. Several fishing ponds to choose from. Lovely coffee shop serving cakes, pork pies and ice cream.

不喜欢: No lighting on site. Dead fish around the pond skeleton left for the kids to see. Electric lighting stands around the ponds been left to fall in the pond. The ponds but alot of tlc.

喜欢: After reading some of the reviews i wasnt expecting much from the site but its cheap and close to home for our first break this year but so glad we came it's lovley. Absolutely beautiful so peaceful. Massive pitches. Kids loved the site and already asking when we will be back and we only just set off home.

不喜欢: The walk to toilet and shower room but that's no major. Could of done with the lights on the cafe decking on so it made the walk lighter.

Campers are not catered for on this site do NOT BOOK!!

Turned up went to check in in the cafe a young lad served me gave me a rule book
/ key code and that’s the only time I seen or spoke to any members of staff in 4days not 1 person came round to check on us or to even say hi/morning or bye/night before they all went home at 4.30-5oclock.. They are more interested in the cafe/Deli then the campers..
I sent my bloke round to grab some drinks while we was fishing they only had glass bottles of coke at £3 a bottle, once again not catering for the campers..

The lakes 🙈 5 lakes with about 30+ pegs and you could only get to 3 the rest were underwater all the paths around the lakes where flooded/Over grown this isn’t a bad winter this is a couple years worth of neglect.. They was so over grown you couldn’t even cast out let alone get a fish in 🙈..
They charged £8 a day PP..

None of this was mentioned on booking..
We came to fish & was very disappointed in the state of the lakes clearly not been looked after in years..
They could’ve mentioned on booking that the lakes where over gown/flooded.. I wouldn’t have booked if so..

As a family we was very unhappy with this campsite & will not be returning.. it has a lot of potential it would be a beautiful place if lakes where cleaned up & manager/staff made more of a effort with there campers not just dump us in a field n forget about us..
Only thing they care about is the cafe and locals that come in..

喜欢: Good sized fully serviced pitches with view of the lakes and cafe. Cafe was lovely, friendly and good food.
Handy stopover for travelling on the A1.

不喜欢: No time space between people coming in and leaving. Meant to leave by 11am, I was hitching up at 10.35 and there was already someone sitting waiting for my spot. I felt very pressured to leave. Then 5 min later, as I was driving out, someone else started driving in through the narrow gap. They reversed so I could drive over the grass to pass. This timing need sorted, they should give people a chance to leave before letting others in. Toilet (only 1 for site) had dried on poo and not cleaned, so obviously not checked daily.

喜欢: Friendly staff. Peaceful setting.

不喜欢: Cafe was not open till 9.30 for breakfast. Walk to toilet was closed due to flooding.

喜欢: Lovely well maintained site. We stayed on a hardstanding pitch that was spacious and had a small hedge to give some privacy from your neighbours. There were only a small number of visitors that occupied the site, which made it very peaceful. There was a lovely cafe on site and a well maintained kids park, which my children enjoyed.
The setting is beautiful, 2 lovely lakes over looking the caravan site. We got to spot some local wildlife too- a heron and oystercatchers.

喜欢: Open space, lovely view of the lake. Quiet area but still close to amenities. Toilets and shower block were very clean. Nice little park to keep the children busy. I did not visit the cafe but looked popular with plenty of people inside.
