喜欢 Apart for location being good the standard was poor

不喜欢 We saw no staff or owner during our stay. There were weeds growing on the pitches. The bins were not emptied during our 7 day stay. The toilet/shower had a bin that was full of paper and tissue and dirty wipes . The heater was rusty. The floor had not been cleaned. The so called hot water was just tepid. The other toilet was in the same state.

来自经理: I do apologise about the toilet block to be quite Frank the local Council are being an absolute nightmare. They have put Enforcment on the Land and are trying to close our CL down saying we need Planning permission for the toilet block the hardstanding electric hook ups and Septic Tank the hardstanding and the Septic Tank have been there since before 2012 to be honest I have lost hart

喜欢 Lovely clean site, quiet and peaceful.
Beautiful place too.

不喜欢 Didn’t dislike anything. Only thing I’d say is I couldn’t get shower to a temperature I liked. Warm but only just, but I think that was me rather than the shower.

喜欢 Nice site in a countey setting, well located for the Windmill Festival. Water tap on pitch, grey and black waste disposal on site, pretty quiet too, no road or train noise

不喜欢 Toilet block is neglected, no paper towels or rolls, we took it upon ourselves to give it a clean round, the site was quiet so no busy excuse will hold up

来自经理: Hi thank you for staying at Willow beck retreat. The toilet block is complimentary. It is there in case you want to use it as a CL we actually don’t need a toilet block. The only thing we get any negative reviews about is the toilet block. I don’t live on site and I’m working away from home at the moment so it is difficult to pop round all the time. Most people clean the toilet after their selves as goes for toilet roll and Hand Towels it’s a CL thank you for staying at Willow beck retreat.

喜欢 Mixed feelings with this site.

Quiet location the majority of time, a bit of road noise on Sunday day with bikes and fast cars but not overnight or on the Monday/Tuesday therefore slept well.
Pretty surroundings.
Large pitch.
Water on pitch and electricity if required.
Warm shower
Picnic benches
I can see from previous reviews that some things have been resolved such as the step, cut grass and clothes hook, the toilets and shower were clean enough for being in a field, but other issues still remain see below.

不喜欢 Didn't see anyone associated with the site, no access to information room.
No toilet paper in the toilets
Bins overflowing
No instructions received after booking or throughout stay (just standard pitchup email). There is a sign on the post on the pitch and in the toilets showing how to pay, which is straightforward.
I understand this is a small site and has extra facilities than required, however the facilities are advertised as included in the price so are expected. We were aware of the extra cost for electricity that required coins, we were fine with that.

喜欢 Peaceful site, within walking distance to the village shop and pub.
(pub doesn't serve food). Picnic table available for each pitch.

不喜欢 Although the CL's do not need to have toilets and shower on site, this one was advertised as having both.
Unfortunately on arrival it was clear to see they are not clean. There is no soap, no loo rolls and no towel paper or otherwise.
The step up to the shower block is broken and very high. A couple of us struggled on site with the height of it.
Bins overflowing nobody emptying them, stayed 6 nights still overflowing when we left.
