Wonderful hidden gem in the middle of the countryside, with skydivers!

喜欢 Quiet site, immaculately kept with spacious pitches mown into the long grass. Good facilities, plain but functional - showers decent (push button), toilets all have sinks. All give full privacy. Love the new addition of lockers for wood and marshmallows - easy to scan a barcode and pay on your phone, all self service! Whole place very reasonably priced. And LOVE watching the skydivers come down!" Sit on your camping chair with a brew, and watch their whole flight from take-off to landing. Amazing free entertainment!
不喜欢 The booking system automatically books everyone onto pitches from the bottom of the site up to the top. So even if you're just 4 people on site, you're all clumped together by the car park, far away from the toilet/shower block. I rang and changed our pitch on arrival but only just caught them within office hours to do so. Would be great to change the booking system somehow to allow people to chose their pitch on booking, or before arrival?

喜欢 Everything! Very well maintained, loved having an airfield behind us, quiet.
不喜欢 No stream or open water really nearby but that is hardly the fault of the campsite!

喜欢 Absolutely loved staying here. If you want to get away and have some peace and quiet this is the place. The rustic showers are great and the staff were on call for any issue we had. Half our group liked it so much they booked an extra day.
不喜欢 The on site freezer could be a little bigger or maybe have a 2nd, as when the camp is full there is little space left if you’re not quick
