Non mi è piaciuto When we arrived, the pitch we had been allocated was occupied, they told us we could use the original pitch they were assigned. No big issue in the end but felt a bit anxious as other people turned up looking for their pitches.

Mi è piaciuto Lovely well equipped and clean hut, secluded with only the one other hut next to it yet close enough to the camping pitches to walk to if as I had family were camping. Quite a busy airfield as part of the property but didn’t affect the peace and quite in fact quite relaxing watching the gliders and parachutists my Grandkids particularly enjoy watching them float to the ground. Couple of questions I had during my stay were answered quickly and offered solutions so thank you to Natalie for that great service. There are various priced camping options that would suit any budget. My kids and grandkids stayed in their own tents which were all pitched in the same area which was nice and I had one of the Shepherd Huts. Happily recommend stay here and would use it again if ever in the area

Mi è piaciuto Very nice area and great service. The facilities were excellent, I have nothing bad to say about the venue itself!

Non mi è piaciuto Unfortunately the neighbours I was forced to accommodate were not as nice. They were on my pitch (which i only had for two nights) despite having plenty othwr wmpty pitches around, had multiple tents on it and played loud music until past 11pm. Then proceeded to talk very loudly until around 1am. Otherwise I had a great time.

Mi è piaciuto We’ve just got home from our 3 night stay at Wall Tree House! Our first EVER camping trip as a young family and we loved it. 💛

We are currently in a drought so naturally everything was very dead but it was still a lovely camping site, nice high grass around your pitch, with mowed in footpaths through out.

LOVELY clean toilets, clean showers, clean sinks, plenty of loo roll!

They supply fire pits, fire pit grills AND marshmallows !! With very easy instructions in two locations. Sadly we were not able to use them due to the government warning of wildfires - but it’s really not a biggie!

I saw some comments before booking about a delay in response when trying to communicate, but I had no issues, although I never tried ringing them I did email and my email was promptly responded to.

We arrived on a Friday night - with about seven other campers, by Sunday night only two of us was left and the campsite was very quiet, but it was lovely, late at night we could hear 3 Owls all communicating to each other which was so cool. Very interesting when we were woken up at 3:30 this morning with two foxes fighting outside our tent! 😂 But what an experience!

I have to say it was quite sad leaving this morning, I will miss our little pitch.

We will definitely be back. 🫶🏼

Mi è piaciuto Lovely flat, spacious pitches with fire bowls and picnic tables on every pitch. A wide range of pitch types. Loads of personal space and privacy. Excellent toilet blocks. This is a really lovely campsite in every way..

Non mi è piaciuto I dislike nothing really, but it was a bit disconcerting to be allocated a pitch that was already occupied by someone else. Fortunately the site was mostly empty and I managed to change to a different pitch with a quick phone call.

Mi è piaciuto The site itself has a lot of potential and my two young children really enjoyed watching the skydivers, which was definitely a highlight of the trip.

We travelled from Blackpool for a three-night family camping trip and, for the most part, the site was peaceful and enjoyable.

The location has plenty of potential for families, and having a small children’s play area would be a great addition. Somewhere for younger children to safely play would make the site much more appealing for families staying for several days.

Non mi è piaciuto Unfortunately, our final night completely ruined what had otherwise been an enjoyable trip. We unintentionally pitched our tent in the wrong bay. The booking instructions weren’t particularly clear and I genuinely didn’t realise we were in the wrong pitch.

Another camper insisted that we move, despite there being plenty of empty pitches on a very quiet site. I even suggested that he take our pitch instead, but ultimately, as a single father with two young children, I had to completely dismantle our camp after we’d been there for two nights and re-pitch everything for our final night.

Having travelled all the way from Blackpool, this caused a huge amount of unnecessary stress and anxiety. Having to pack everything away, unpack it again, and then pack everything away again the following morning was exhausting and completely took away from what should have been our final evening enjoying the trip together.

We were also unable to have a campfire during our stay because there was no firewood available from the campsite shop, which was particularly disappointing with two young children.

The road closures around the area also made getting anywhere extremely difficult. Brackley was shown as being around five minutes away on the sat nav, but because of the various closures and diversions it took around 30 minutes to get there.

Overall, it’s a real shame because the site has potential, but the combination of the unclear pitch instructions, the way the pitch situation was handled, lack of firewood, road closures and lack of a children’s play area made the experience considerably more stressful and disappointing than it should have been.

Sadly, I don’t think we’ll be returning.

We are, however, disappointed that your final evening affected your overall experience so negatively, and we would like to clarify a few points.

Unfortunately we did not receive any calls or messages from you during your stay regarding the pitch. Had we been made aware of the situation at the time, we would have been more than happy to speak with you and try to resolve any misunderstanding.

We are sorry that having to move caused you stress, particularly while travelling with two young children. However, without being contacted, we were unfortunately not given the opportunity to assist or find an alternative solution before you dismantled your camp.

Regarding the firewood, our online shop is normally restocked daily. It appears that the stock may simply have been missed when you attempted to place your order, and we apologise that you were unable to purchase any during your stay. We appreciate that having a campfire can be an important part of the camping experience, especially with young children.

With regard to the traffic and journey into Brackley, the difficulties you experienced were due to an accident involving a motorist in the area, which caused significant traffic disruption and diversions during your stay. Unfortunately, this was completely outside of our control and not something we could have anticipated.

We do take your comments on board and will continue to look at ways we can improve the experience for our guests, including making pitch information as clear as possible and considering additional facilities for families.

It is a shame that your final evening overshadowed what you otherwise described as a peaceful and enjoyable stay. We appreciate your feedback and wish you and your family all the best for your future camping trips.

Mi è piaciuto Amazing showers, clean toilets even passed a very fussy little camper standards. Great pitch all with fire pit and picnic table. Fire wood bundles had kindling fire starters and larger wood. Enough fir 2 small fires. Be aware there is no shade on the campsite ie total sunlight hours of full on sun. Great walks to pubs about half a hour across lovely countryside. Very peaceful site. Air field close by with little cafe and you could aircraft and sky divers. Great information boards for activities around the campsites

Non mi è piaciuto Could have been a children's play area. I brought fire wood from pay lockers but would have liked to bring some of my own as the fire wood was 10 pounds and was enough for 2 small fires

Mi è piaciuto Loved being able to sit on a picnic table as the sun went down and watch the gliders in the sky. Lovely pitch cut in to wild flower fields. Very private. Very nice clean showers, and toilets. Definitely going to go back.
