Barlings Country Holiday Park

喜欢 The environment was absolutely beautiful. Lakes, willow trees and general well kept buildings (reception and lodges). The people on the park were friendly. The staff accommodated a LATE check in and were supper attentive. It’s located within 15 mins of Lincoln and roughly 40 minutes of Skegness so offered different types of days out. We would definitely come again.

不喜欢 Absolutely ridiculous that I’m writing this; they have geese on the park which are brilliant to watch, but it does come with a lot of geese poo…

喜欢 Easy check in and key fob for the gates which made us feel safe.
Clean facilities.
Nice little dog walk area which our kids loved and saw lots of wildlife.
Great staff! The bloke that works weekends was great. Did a good job, warned us of the unsafe tree not far from us and were great with the kids!

If you’re going soon - the ground is very hard from the lack of rain. We struggled to get pegs in and out! Needed a claw hammer to pull the pegs up. This is the first time we’ve had this problem.

不喜欢 The showers need a major update.
We tried pretty much all the showers between us. Some were luke warm, some stayed on for a few sedans while others stayed on for 30 seconds. One shower was really hot - glad I didn’t take my children in there! Need showers that stay on and can control the temperature.

喜欢 We loved everything about this site. It was very clean and was peaceful. The lady at reception was very lovely and was friendly, making us feel welcome from the get go.

There are geese and ducks on site which were cute and a pleasure to watch with their young.

There is a designated area for dog walking by the river which is a god send. We have been to sites before that say dog walking area but there clearly wasn’t one, so to have one was a real bonus for us.

The site is very quiet and everyone we came across was friendly. There were 2 shower blocks that we saw, our nearest one looked old and dated, but inside was lovely and warm and spotlessly clean. Plenty of room to get showered and changed with hooks for your belongings.

On arrival, you are given a map of the site and an information booklet, as well as a fob for the security gate.

There are shops within a 10 minute drive (a weakness for me as there was a LIDL, and their freshly baked pastries and sweet treats are amazing) so I drove over on Sunday morning to get some croissants for breakfast. 🥐

We were here over a weekend and the was even an ice cream van that came on the site which was a lovely surprise 🍦

This site is really well laid out with everything you could ask for. We will definitely be coming back!! 👌🏻
