At family-friendly site The Thames Head Inn, four miles from Cirencester market town in the Gloucestershire Cotswolds, you definitely won't want to miss the chance. Thames Head is well-placed for exploring the spectacular Cotswolds on foot or by bike – the start of the Thames Path, which follows the world-famous river for 184 miles from source to sea, is half a mile from the site, and there are loads of cycles tours and walking routes starting in Cirencester and Tetbury, both within 10 minutes’ drive of the site. If that's not your scene, kick back on the dog-friendly site in the shade of the trees, soaking in the scenic and peaceful Cotswolds countryside, or take a relaxed stroll through the fields with Rex. Worked up an appetite? The site is in the grounds of the Thames Head Inn bar-restaurant, where food is served well into the evening and the drinks keep flowing until closing (remember to book a table, as mealtimes can get very busy). If you fancy fending for yourself, pick up supplies in Cirencester or Kemble – a 20-minute walk away – and fire up the barbecue. For a change of scenery – and menus – there are plenty of restaurants within 10 minutes of Thames Head.

喜欢 Good location (Cirencester is stunning), lovely pub/restaurant adjacent to the camp site, decent size pitches. Walking routes from the site for stretching your legs or walking the dog.

不喜欢 Little bit of road noise in the morning, sometimes a queue for the loo but when the pubs open you can use their facilities.

喜欢 We have stayed 3 times now. Lovely small campsite at the rear of the pub. Very clean and tidy. Had several meals in the pub and dog friendly too. The food had always been exceptional. The road behind can be quite busy but doesn’t bother us and we are only around in the late afternoon and evening.

不喜欢 Agree with comments regarding the shower facilities. Could do with updating and maybe have two as if the campsite is full, one toilet and shower is not adequate.

喜欢 Very quiet and peaceful setting. Lovely pub which serves fantastic food. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Site is clean and well maintained.

不喜欢 Lack of disabled aids in shower room. The floor of the shower was quite slippery and the shower drain needed cleaning, it was blocked and not draining I ended up unblocking it a bit to allow drainage.

喜欢 The pub and restaurant were excellent very polite staff. Excellent food and service. Plus plates pre warmed. If only they did that everywhere. 🍽. And very attentive. Brilliant 👏.

不喜欢 Yes there is only toilet and shower but a small price to pay .lovely small camp site and ideally situated for driving to various places in the area.
