At family-friendly site The Thames Head Inn, four miles from Cirencester market town in the Gloucestershire Cotswolds, you definitely won't want to miss the chance. Thames Head is well-placed for exploring the spectacular Cotswolds on foot or by bike – the start of the Thames Path, which follows the world-famous river for 184 miles from source to sea, is half a mile from the site, and there are loads of cycles tours and walking routes starting in Cirencester and Tetbury, both within 10 minutes’ drive of the site. If that's not your scene, kick back on the dog-friendly site in the shade of the trees, soaking in the scenic and peaceful Cotswolds countryside, or take a relaxed stroll through the fields with Rex. Worked up an appetite? The site is in the grounds of the Thames Head Inn bar-restaurant, where food is served well into the evening and the drinks keep flowing until closing (remember to book a table, as mealtimes can get very busy). If you fancy fending for yourself, pick up supplies in Cirencester or Kemble – a 20-minute walk away – and fire up the barbecue. For a change of scenery – and menus – there are plenty of restaurants within 10 minutes of Thames Head.

喜欢 Lovely large level pitch. Access to water, rubbish and electricity close by. There is a small shower and toilet available at all times. Having the pub next door is a great plus. The food here is amazing. I had lasagne and hubby had sea bass. Both were hearty meals and very tasty. Will definitely be back.

喜欢 1st outing in a Motorhome, so nothing to compare it to, but what’s not to like about this site! Good pub, good walking & good facilities! Right next to the Swindon to Glos railway - so tops if you like trains!
