Gostou Friendly staff. Convenient location near Lulworth but by a busy road.

Não gostou Bring your headtorch to use toilet or shower - no internal lights after 7am in the middle of winter!
Very basic and cramped facilities for the price and only one toilet and shower open. A little more thought and design could have gone into the facilities - a bigger sink, working lights, a few more hooks to hang towel and clothes etc. Small things that would make a big difference.

Gostou Fairly level pitch. Close to Lulworth cove & other places of interest.
The sunrise was beautiful.

Não gostou The facilities. Appalling tbh. Cold unheated & run down. They are definitely an afterthought! We were told the toilets/showers nearest the pitches weren't accessible & to use the "small campsite ones". Awful is an understatement. 1 toilet & 2 showers. There was a radiator but it wasn't on. One of the showers didn't get hot. My husband went to speak to the proprietor & was told the shower takes a few minutes to get hot & they would come & look at the radiator as it should be on. We ran the shower for a few mins but still couldn't get hot water. We were there 4 nights/5 days...the radiator was never on.
I do not expect luxury but I do expect a decent standard of decor & for some kind of heating during the cooler months.
If we could have found somewhere else to stay we would of because the facilities were truly awful.

Gostou Good food in the pub, awful Badger beer…

Não gostou Do not arrive before your allocated time , 3pm in our case as you won’t be allowed to pitch up. We asked if we could go in earlier as we were drinking in the pub , but not hook up until 3 and it was a firm no. I understand there has to be rules but the site was virtually empty, and as there were 3 parties involved, all spending a fair amount of money, I felt this was rather mean . I’m afraid it left a nasty taste unfortunately
I never leave bad reviews but in this case I thought others should be aware
Pitches seemed very close together
No return for us sadly…

Gostou Food in the pub was amazing

Não gostou All weather pitches are awful you sink in the sand and stones and makes levelling very difficult. Also only 1 toilet and 2 showers . There was no heating in them either . Definitely needs to be upgraded

Gostou Lovely site. Staff and customers at the pub were very friendly. Food was excellent. Overall a great place to stay.
