Barley Meadow Touring Park

Gostou: The site is very easily accessible from the A30. The warden was extremely welcoming and friendly. The site is immaculately kept and the toilet block is extremely clean and modern. Quiet and friendly site. We loved it and will definitely return.

Não gostou: My only criticism concern the shower. The rose is extremely high so the water sprays everywhere and shoes get wet if you don’t put them in the seat. A shower curtain would solve this!

Gostou: Excellent second stay (first time was a few years before they became adult only). We travelled with our converted van and awning. Great site, spotlessly clean! Well organised, friendly and perfect facilities. We took our dogs for their first van experience and the enclosed field was perfect for toilet breaks and zooming around. A beautiful site, great location for lots of exploring of dartmoor and countryside walking locations.

Its amazing and we will be back!! Thank you all!

Gostou: Fantastic little site! Clean, modern, lovely wash room facilities and a nice little shop should you need any last min things. I am really fussy and have to say I was really glad we chose this site. On arrival the couple who own and run the site were really friendly and their hard work reflects in the quality of the site. Dog friendly as well with a great little gated dog area where you can let the dogs run freely whilst enjoying a beautiful views across the rolling hills. If you fancy it…there’s a 20 min walk to a lovely pub next to a church that serves great food and drink in a stunning setting.i’ll be asking for the same spot next time:-)

Gostou: This is our second time there and was made very welcome. The grounds are kept so clean, the toilets and shower block are immaculate . So much room in between pitches. Definitely one of the best places we have been too. Our fur babies absolutely loved the dog run. We can truly say we love it at Barley Meadow and that it is such a credit to the husband and wife team running it. We are back there in August and have booked for next year aswell

Gostou: Everything! Plenty of loos, showers, wash up areas and all immaculately clean whenever I went to visit for whatever reason. Loved the dog exercise area, loved the view, loved our site loved my short walk to the farm shop. I put down the success of this site to the fact that the owners are very much in evidence and it shows. They also clearly know how to lead their team. Probably one of the best campsites I’ve been to in UK.

Gostou: The facilities were very clean and good

Não gostou: The site is far too close to the main road so vehicle noise was heard throughout the night. The site is actually immediately adjacent to the road. We would not return to this campsite

Do gestor: Just to put into context for people to understand. When you arrived for your two night stay with us we were very apologetic to you as we informed you that Highways England had decided to close both sides of the A30 between 8pm-6am for emergency work to be done. This was completely out of our control, we also informed you that we had been give NO notice of this.
We did do our very best to make sure that you had bushes and hedges around you to try and keep some of the noise at bay. Sadly though when you are in a tent there is very little to keep any noise out! On a normal night the road is normally very quiet and we are very sorry that you did not get to experience that. We are very sad to see that you have scored us a 1/10 for value for money as I don't think you would find anywhere in this local area for the same price. We are a little confused as to why you have scored the accommodation a 2/10 as this is your tent?!! Thank you for your 10/10 for the cleanliness we do appreciate this. We are sorry that the diversion made your stay with us so bad. We made a formal complaint with Highways England as soon as we found out about the diversion and we have even spoken to our local MP about this. We do ask if it was that bad please make a complaint to Highways England and Devon County Council. Best wishes from Leigh and David.
