Gostou Lots of space. Very tidy site. Facilities clean and well kept. Great location for Ferry.

Não gostou Just disappointed that the pub wasn't open, as we have stayed previously and eaten there. We can understand however, why it isn't, with lack of business.

Não gostou This is no longer a pub stop. There is no bar and no food.
There was an overbooking issue when we were there and we were parked in the car park in a space that was very sloppy - power was supplied. Lighting overnight was very poor if you wanted to use facilities.

Gostou Location was good, not far from the Ferry in Dover. Had toilets, showers and grey waste disposal. Handy if you’re just staying the night for the ferry, not much longer.

Não gostou Pitches very steep, had to use the wheel blocks and was still steep. Felt uncomfortable sleeping.
Small site for motorhomes and caravans.
Bit awkward to fill up fresh water in the van.
Although we knew the pub was closed and wouldn’t need it anyway, that is all that is there. Owner did say that food deliveries would deliver on site if we needed which was handy.

Gostou The toilet facilities were clean and the showers were nice although the amount of showers and toilets for the number of guests was not quite in balance. It is a nice location for hikes straight from the campground.

Não gostou There is little control on what happens at the camp ground. Despite a national firewarning there were at least 10 open fires. Various people drove with their car to the toilet blocks or used the grass area to learn how to drive their car. Some control would have been welcomed.

Gostou Friendly site manager came out after we rang

Não gostou It’s not a camp site! It’s two grass verges with electric hook up either side of a gravel driveway taking you to the glamping pods.
Ad photos look great. Reality was extremely disappointing. Pub closed for service. Site manager was quite despondent about the pub and lack of business. Toilet block was a porta cabin with very basic facilities. The whole place stank of pig poo (that was nobody’s fault as they’d been muck spreading). The smell was over powering. We had paid for our 2 small dogs but didn’t bring them due to extreme heat. When I asked what could be done RE refund, I was advised ‘not much’.
Suffice to say we left and found another lovely site nearby.
I tried to contact Pitchup regarding refund as it was £37 per night (very over priced for what it was) and Pitchup said it was nothing to do with them even though I’d booked through them so my contract was with them!

Gostou Very attentive owner, clean facilities, nice area

Não gostou Showers are ok but need to be wet rooms as floors have no drainage around shower trays, very limited dog walk
