Não gostou We booked a campervan pitch for a repeat visit to this particular pub because of its proximity to the port and so that we could park up and enjoy a meal and a few drinks in the pub. However, we arrived to find that the pub is closed for business!

The owner was nowhere to be seen and so i emailed to express disappointment that there had been no prior notification of the closure, and to ask for a refund because we had been misled and therefore decided to drive onto an alternative more suitable site.

The owner's response was bizarre to say the least - everyone's fault but his own i.e., the local community for not supporting him, Keir Starmer and his financial policies, budget holidaymakers (seems to be having a go at the camping fraternity with that one), and us for not providing a correct phone number (not true).

Anyway, he declined a refund and so all we can say is don't book here if a pre ferry meal/drink is your thing.

Gostou Facilities were clean and well maintained, overall the campsite is clean and tidy and the electric hook up was super easy. The lady that checked us in was nice, she informed us that the pub is actually closed permanently which was most of the reason for booking this campsite. Their is a decent pub called the Crown Inn, which does good food and regularly has live music, it's about a 5 minute drive away but to far to walk due to lack of footpaths.

Não gostou you need a car to go anywhere and the pub is permanently closed. it's great for a 1-2 night stay but no more I'd say. Wouldn't recommend if you have children.

Gostou Lots of space. Out of season so plenty of choice. The owner called just ahead of our arrival to inform us of everything as the pub is closed, which was great as our arrival was going to be quite late. Great spot to get to a ferry or Euro tunnel the following day.

Gostou Lovely little site, the pub is closed in the winter months , shame . But a good location for that side of Kent .
Toilets ect are good and clean .
Small site but good
