Gostou The lake area where the people fished was pretty. We don’t fish.

Não gostou The rally pitch area we booked into was untidy and weeds covered all the pitches.
The toilets and showers were not clean. The shower trays had dark mould and the gents shower was blocked (they fixed for night 2). There was a dried out dead rat in the gents shower after first night. There was no mop/bucket to clean floor after a shower.
The outside plate wash station was dirty and was not cleaned for the 3 days we were there.
The pictures of the hard standing areas and toilets etc to not reflect the actual state of the facilities.
There was a constantly occupied fishing jetty right outside the ladies toilet which was unnerving for my partner.
It took 3 days to get a refund.

Não gostou From pitch 4to 10 on the edge of the pond is over grown and keep getting tangled up and losing tackle but the fishing was good and pitches and facilities were good.we will be back for another stay

Gostou Nice pitches, good shop and helpful staff, wide variety of lakes.

Não gostou This really not a dislike more a request. Some bigger swims on the forest lake, with a 10 year old teaching him, both on one swim is too small but the vegetation between swims is too high for us to see each other, if they could give a few double "family swims" or just cut the vegetation down to knee level on a few swims it would be perfect.

Não gostou Not enough water points, shower in ladies needs sorting , goose poo everywhere, had to pick up with doggie poo bags before could put awning up ,

Gostou Peaceful, beautiful little campsite with well maintained toilet and shower block. Dogs on the lead are welcome. My husband and sons fish and they love it there. Lovely walks along the river nearby.

Gostou Staff and fishing

Não gostou Day fishermen parking up right next to our caravan, chatting & looking at us! Fishing until 9.30pm(gates apparently close at 9pm!) Opening all doors and radio blaring whilst loading fishing tackle.
Fishermen using same facilities as paying campers leaving seat lids up loo paper all over floor and poo in pan! Needs more toilets and fishermen only loos. Maybe key pad campers facilities.
Too much goose poo everywhere as commented to me by others who stayed. Driving too fast causing dust clouds whilst we sat outside our caravan. Waste water/chemical waste/ water tap too far away. Seasonal pitches (ones shown in photo, Not pitches you get allocated) were pristine. Our fishing swims over run by shrubs trees etc and in need of repair.
Shame as staff are lovely, just needs a re think on layout and say fisherman privileges. Seemed as though they were the most thought of and not paying campers.

Gostou Site is well managed with spacious pitches and a nice shower/toilet block
Friendly welcome from the lovely chap in the shop who remembered us from our stay last summer
