Lakeside electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked A very peaceful setting with lovely, friendly staff. Felt safe at night as the entrance gate was locked.
Disliked A little niggle that is beyond the site’s control…… As this is a fishery, there is a large amount of visiting wild geese and ducks. Whilst this is lovely to see, they leave a lot of “mess” around therefore you need to be careful where you walk - a lot dodging around.

Liked Nothing
Disliked Most unhappy, we were going to be put in a desolate carpark (which is new and awful) and had to pay an extra £9/night to pitch by the lake where we have done on all previous visits what a squeezing money grabbing lot never again will I be had like this.

Lovely quiet site good fishing
Lakeside electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked We have been coming here 2 or 3 times a year for a few years. We love it, the fishing is good and it is very peaceful. There is a tackle shop on site and a small shop in the village within walking distance. There is a small clean toilet block and although there is only one shower with plenty of room, I think I have only had to wait once in all the times we have been there. There are (or were) about 22 hardstanding with grass pitches, about half of which are seasonal, who we find all very friendly. When we visited this time there has started to be some changes being made, there is a partly finished hardstanding area which will accommodate maybe another 20 vans and am a bit unsure what this will mean to us in the longrun. I am hoping the intention isn't to make all the original pitches into seasonal and put the visiting tourers onto the new section which to be honest looks a bit like a car park, I know some sites like to keep the tourers separate. I haven't put this into the dislike because I might be totally wrong and the new area might be beautiful when it is finished. Only time will tell.
Disliked There has always been geese on the site and it is lovely to see all the baby goslings but there are too many now there is goose poop everywhere you put your feet down.
