Burrs Manor Wild Camping

Gostou Beautiful scenery, so peaceful and quiet. My 2.5 year old daughter absolutely loved having a massive field to run around on! The land owner Annie was so lovely and even let us use her bell tent for our second night due to us not sleeping great on our first night with 2 big labradors! Loved it here and will definitely be back!

Gostou On arrival we found Burrs manor to be in a great location, a great base for exploring Buxton! The views are unmatched, you will get a stunning sunset and sunrise its just beautiful. We enjoyed the peaceful nature of the site and it was great for spending quality family time together.

Não gostou On arrival the bell tent was not quite what we expected! It was smaller than we thought, quite dirty with grass and bugs as the doors were left open (a-lot of wildlife had entered) and there was no double futon or fairy lights as listed. Coming with two children and only one blow up bed with us we asked the owner for a bit of assistance and they were quick and happy to accommodate. This made up for a tiny bit of disappointment, we would definitely stay here in our own tent. The only reason for booking the bell tent was so we could avoid doing our big set up for one night after a week of both me and my partner working!

Gostou The views were absolutely stunning. The campsite was really near a supermarket yet it was still out in the countryside. It was really easy to access too. The showers were warm and the water pressure was good. The campsite also lied on some really stunning walks so we didn't even have to drive to the start of a hike which was amazing. I was so impressed the first time I stayed that I immediately booked again and was just as impressed.

Gostou We had the best long weekend on this campsite, fantastic base for everything we wanted to do near by, Annie keeps a lovely clean site with lovely hot showers cannot find a fault at all ⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Gostou The main field was pretty full when we arrived so we were directed to the adjacent field. Much quieter and a lovely pitch with stunning views! Clean toilet, lovely pub down the road. Quiet in the evening despite many campers. Great location, very happy.

Gostou This is the 2nd time I've stayed here and it's a lovely place, has great views and despite it being a "wild camp site" meaning no electric hook up it's has great facilities. Grace welcomed us upon arrival, was so friendly and welcoming, she did a fab job of popping to and from the site to keep an eye on things. She kept the toilets well stocked and clean, honestly she's such a credit to the site. There was a group of teenagers that were being a tad rowdy (as teenagers generally are) and she handled them with politeness and authority. We love it at Burrs and will definitely be coming back again. Thanks for a lovely night, despite the bone soaking drizzle that didn't stop all night! Sod's Law it's been fab weather for weeks and i decide to bring the new van out for its first trip and it rains 🤣. Thanks for being such a fab host Grace!

Gostou The whole site, great views great pitch and a lovely relaxed feel about the place. A special mention to Grace who was looking after the place while the owner was away. Made us feel very welcome and came to our rescue with a pair of plyers for our stove.
