Country walks, pub lunches and buckets full of beach trips… to list out every single thing you have to look forward to at Dinarth Hall Caravan and Camping would take some time, as this North Wales site is very conveniently based in the town of Rhos on Sea, 10 minutes’ drive from Llandudno and five minutes’ drive away from Colwyn Bay Beach. If you’re very much a countryside sort of person, it’ll be nice news that the site is on a working farm setting surrounded by fields and country walks with horses frequently passing by the site. There are just basic facilities, including toilets, showers, a washing-up area and a washing machine and dryer for laundry. There’s a lovely country pub just half an hour’s walk away for your supper or an American diner-style restaurant 10 minutes’ walk away in the other direction. If you’d rather sort yourself out, have a wander up the hill to the small shop 10 minutes’ walk away. The bus, which stops at the end of the road, comes just over every 10 minutes if you feeling like abandoning the car for the weekend. Not that you’ll need it that much if you’ve got beach days at the top of your agenda, because it’s only a 25-minute walk to Rhos on Sea beach and Colwyn Bay Beach is also within walking distance. If you’re driving to Colwyn Bay, there’s plenty of parking (and lots of ice cream vans to go with that). You may want to shift your watersports gear or bicycles down there, as there’s a cycling path along the front and often great conditions for some water activities.

Gostou Absolutely love this place . Everyone there is so friendly and can't do enough for you . The fields where you pitch are nice and spacious and the facilities are brilliant to say it's a working farm . The horses are lovely and the area is stunning and close enough to everything.

Não gostou Everything is old and neglected, whole place run down and needs investment. Rubbish overflowing, toilets and showers need refurbishing and a good clean.

Não gostou The facilities are clearly out-dated and need refurbishing. Even in the disabled facility/shower room, I found myself sharing it with a wood louse.
There is no shelf to put anything, no bench to sit on and get changed.

Gostou Cheap and cheerful. Lots of space. Our puppy loved it. 2 pubs in walking distance. Nice walk into town. Good bus service.

Gostou We booked on the morning through Pitchup as we decided to extend our holiday by another nights stop over and wanted to be near Rhos on Sea. Easy to book and decent cost.
Liked where the site was. Lots of space to camp. Toilet/shower blocks were pretty old but very clean and tidy with lots of nice hot water. Very quiet and picturesque site.

Não gostou We found the site via satnav but there were no signs for the site and we had to drive through the farmyard, which also wasn’t signposted. That would have helped.
The main rubbish and recycling bins were all very full and overflowing. Not sure when they were last emptied.

Atrações locais

Llandudno (10 minutes’ drive) is a cracking spot for a good wander, with shops, a pier, a promenade and a beach. You may spot a few goats wandering around the edge of town; they’ll have lost their way from Great Orme (20 minutes) just past Llandudno. The green limestone slopes of the Great Orme are not just for the goats, of course, with a tramway and a cable car providing access to the fab views from the 209-metre slope, a café or a playground. Back in Llandudno, get picked up by one of the open-top buses which run in summer from Llandudno Pier. They head over to stunning Conwy (10 minutes’ drive), past the spectacular 13th-century Conwy Castle, cobbled streets, bakeries and the cobbled streets typical of such a traditional Welsh port town.
