Care Ashore Campsite

Gostou The site is set on a sprawling estate with room to explore the grounds. Hard standing with electric hookups are tidy and well maintained. Toilets are basic but adequate. Would recommend and definitely would stay again if we are in the area.

Não gostou When we arrived, someone was on our pitch, so we took the last free one. Signage wasn't very clear, but it didn't matter too much.

Gostou Lovely place, friendly and helpful staff. Has everything you need.
I own a house in the nearby Dunsfold village, so sometimes have to make the journey here. Will be staying again for sure. Graham & Milgen.

Gostou A large site with plenty of space to explore on a walk about within the grounds . Ideal for a peaceful stay with open countryside and views from the site . Been many times and always found a warm welcome when visiting the social area located in the main building.

Não gostou On visiting the site we learned that on several occasions this year a certain type of touring folk caused big problems refusing to vacate the site on completion of their stay .Their type of unruly behaviour should never be tolerated and although the management did after a while have security serve an order on them to vacate the site I’m now troubled on wanting to re- book another stay without first asking for reassurance that all is well as this unsavoury situation should never arise if certain channels are followed .. I hope that there is a way forward to prevent this happening again.

The group concerned had made a legitimate booking and were initially staying on site in the normal way. When they failed to leave at the end of their booking, we took immediate action and instructed enforcement agents, who attended the site and resolved the situation at the earliest opportunity. While the situation was regrettable, we dealt with it as quickly and responsibly as possible and in accordance with the law, and we remained focused throughout on maintaining a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for our guests.

Gostou Our 3rd visit here and just love it, nice sized plots, quiet and peaceful yet short driving distance to many places, grounds beautiful but most of all the people are all so very friendly, booked to return

Gostou Excellent site, beautiful setting, good facilities. Our stay was only marred by the presence of a number of travellers who, although polite, did not monitor their children. Unfortunately there was also a power cut on the morning we left and no not water for washing up. However, this wouldn’t have stopped us staying an extra night if there had been a pitch available, and won’t stop us staying again in the future.

Gostou We have been coming to this site for 17+years, we have seen some changes over the years but all good. We love the atmosphere and friendliness of staff and residents. Normally very clean facilities.

Não gostou There were 4 vans of travelers who arrived on our second night and completely ruined our stay. The kids ran wild, no respect. The men were driving in and out all day and evening and the women did not discipline the kids. On one occasion we came back to discover they had been in our awning, luckily we did put our things in our caravan but they still got some awning poles and also the front of our caravan where Jockey wheel is the surround was cracked. Obviously we couldn't say any thing as we had no proof and did not want confrontation. We also witnessed the kids and dogs who were off leads running around in Glamping field and climbing into the cow field. Going into other people's awnings and taking things and on one occasion one of the kids took a knife to a tent and made a hole when the owner asked them about it they denied it of course. We left today and the enforcement officers were there. Shame they were not dealt with sooner because it just spoilt our stay you felt you couldn't go out in case they touched and damaged our vans etc. and it has put us off coming back. We pay good money to stay and our week was not a pleasant one. I felt sorry for the staff that had to clean the toilets as these were disgusting after the travelers used them. They also used the camping field as a toilet. I was pleased to leave and I've never felt like that before.

The group in question had made a legitimate booking and were initially on site lawfully. When they failed to leave at the end of their stay, we immediately began the appropriate legal process. Unfortunately, we were unable to remove them ourselves and were required to follow the correct procedures. As soon as we were legally able to do so, enforcement agents attended, and the group was removed from the site.

While this was an unusual situation, please be assured that we dealt with it as quickly and efficiently as possible and remained focused on the safety and wellbeing of our guests throughout.

We are sorry that this incident overshadowed your visit and hope that you will consider returning in the future so that we can provide the experience you have enjoyed with us for so many years.

Gostou Very relaxed campsite, social club was good with friendly residents.
Shower room was ok with space to get dressed.
Shower shacks were fun, although only one had hot water.
Fellow campers were also great company.

We appreciate your comments regarding the road traffic near the hardstanding pitches. While the road provides access for residents and visitors to the Estate, we understand that it can occasionally be busier than guests might expect.
