Springbok Campsite

A aimé Easy to find campsite in a superb area with plenty to do. Pitches were spacious with hard standing and grass. We were made to feel very welcome at the social club and our dog was very spoilt! Great walks around the campsite. Shower and toilet block was kept clean.
We really enjoyed our stay - as novice campervan owners it was a great place to start. Great responsive communication with staff before we arrived.

N'a pas aimé Not a dislike but there could be an issue during busy times with just a shower and 2 toilets per gender.

A aimé My son and I love coming to springbok, it’s local to us and my son is a member of the fishing club so it makes an ideal weekend break! It’s peaceful and all the residents are friendly and make you feel welcome. Pitches are a very good size , if your looking for something with good walking this is the place to come it’s surrounded by footpaths. Has the added bonus of the bar up at the main house which has very reasonable priced drinks and everyone makes you feel welcome. We will return

N'a pas aimé The showers and toilets are simple and adequate however my son doesn’t like using the showers due to a few cobwebs and spiders. So it maybe could be cleaner. Water is always hot though. Only a small complaint.

A aimé All hours access is good, both pitches we used were both good.

N'a pas aimé Showers need some work as limited in spring. Fishing crowd who turn up next to pitches are a bit early

A aimé Beautiful location with great walks nearby, and great views from the pitch. Facilities were clean and well located, and the social club was a nice spot to grab a drink in the warmth.

N'a pas aimé The main issue we faced at springbok farm was the difficulty finding the site, and getting any sort of guidence on facilities. There doesn’t seem to be a clear camp manager or guide as you enter the site so just beware. It made for a not great start to the trip. Also the outdoor shower shacks not working, ladies hand dryer not working still. Drinking water supply was cloudy.

A aimé The pitch was gravelled so easy to park up. The site was clean. The toilets were clean.
Easy to pitch up as had hook up. This campsites donates to charity.

N'a pas aimé It was difficult to drive to and find in the dark and when I arrived the directions for camp were unclear.As a female travelling alone, I contacted the number on site but unfortunately was out of office hours, so called the out of hours number- the staff member was unhelpful!! I found a spot myself on camp and settled for the night.
The gravel pathways, although easy to drive on, it was noisy with vehicles and people walking to the facilities.

N'a pas aimé Only reason to not give 10 is the cost but that’s just our opinion and most sites are getting closer to the £30 pn mark which we believe is to high even though we understand the business has large costs. It’s a catch 22 maybe, but we still find £20 or less 🤷🏼‍♂️

Great little bar in the Estate House, friendly & welcoming for a few drinks & for a worthy cause.
