Gostou From the moment we arrived at Holmsley, we knew we’d chosen the right place. Julie at reception was absolutely fantastic – warm, welcoming, and full of local knowledge that made settling in effortless. She really set the tone for our stay, and throughout the trip every single member of staff we met was excellent: friendly, helpful, and clearly dedicated to keeping the site running smoothly.

The campsite itself exceeded our expectations. The pitches were spacious and well laid out, giving everyone plenty of room to relax. Facilities were spotless, modern, and well maintained, which made the whole experience comfortable and stress-free. We especially loved the peaceful atmosphere of the site – no noise, no hassle, just pure relaxation in a truly beautiful part of the New Forest.

Waking up each morning to the sight of ponies and wildlife wandering past our pitch was magical, and it really added to the feeling that this site is something special. The location is also excellent, with easy access to walking trails, villages, and all that the New Forest has to offer, yet the campsite itself feels quiet and tucked away.

Overall, our stay was everything we had hoped for and more. With staff like Julie leading the way, Holmsley has that extra personal touch that makes it stand out from other campsites. We left feeling completely refreshed and can’t wait to return – highly recommended to anyone looking for a perfect New Forest break.

Gostou Well kept site with good clean facilities , small walk to the sea and a large area close by to walk the dog (ex golf grounds). Off site Cafe 100 mts away. There is a shop on site (Nica local) and sold most basics at reasonable prices.

Não gostou Sloped pitch which soon became muddy when it started to rain.

Gostou Beautiful beach 2 mins away. Staff wonderful. Food really nicely cooked and presented. Shower block clean and tidy. Well stocked shop. Bar and restaurant lovely atmosphere with plenty of tables to sit at. Lovely seating areas to enjoy the views, of which there are plenty.

Não gostou The fact that we were put in the bottom field that was open to all of the horrendous weather we incurred on the three nights that we stayed. We were due to stay for a week, but on the 4th morning, our awing was ripped away from the van with so much force that it tore the hinge from our tailgate.
We were situated at the bottom of a steep hill, so all of the rain running from the whole site flooded us.
I know that the park can't control the weather, but the wardens told us that the weather wasn't looking great, but didn't move us to one of the many empty pitches further up the hill. I was so upset that we had to come early as this was our first holiday for 2 years, but, we couldn't stay because we didn't have any living quarters.
We ended up throwing the awning away as we left as it was ripped to shreds.
It's such a shame as the park is lovely, but very steep. If you are in a wheelchair or walking with crutches ( as was i) or a walking stick, it maybe worth mentioning this when you book as perhaps they would take this into consideration and put you higher up on the hill .

Não gostou The chalets are not cleaned properly. I think the cleaning staff could do with cleaning lessons and the carpets god knows when they were last cleaned with carpet cleaner. The men’s toilet door up in the club house hasn’t been for 5 yrs the last time I was here.. looks awful and un hygienic..

Gostou Nice site,great location, staff where really nice and helpful.

Não gostou Shower blocks could do with a make over . Foods expensive for what it was. Cost of pitch was expensive. Free Wi-Fi was just ok but the price to upgrade was silly

Gostou We had a very happy time at Nodes. The facilities were very good and the staff were excellent.

Gostou Fantastic location, very close to the beach which was not overcrowded. The pitches are fairly level. Our pitch was huge and easily accommodated our Berghaus air 600 tent with a porch, we had lots of space to sit outside, too. Clean facilities, in fact, the whole site was being cleaned daily so there was no rubbish anywhere, lots of bins provided. The staff was super helpful. Our kids got a football stuck in brambles and lovely people who were cutting the hedges rescued the ball for them. Lady in a restaurant made our daughter's day when she offered to prepare pancakes with strawberries just for her after the breakfasts had finished and the chef refused. We were allowed to leave our car in the park after checkout to enjoy the beach before heading home. Kids enjoyed the swimming pool and the football pitch, there was a kids disco in the evening which was also nice for them. It was quiet at nights. We couldn't connect to WiFi where we were and the reception was not great but WiFi was good in the restaurant area so it was ok. We had a great time.

Gostou Really good clean looked after toilets and showers. Stuff for the kids - playground and entertainment etc etc. great for beach. Helpful understanding staff. Overall we had fun.

Não gostou Ground is pretty stony. Bring strong tent pegs.
