Não gostou The toilet block was very unclean, some of the toilets were closed for refurbishment. We were advised in advance that there was restricted access to the Gravel pitches. However we were not told the whole site was swamped with Water and most of the site was not accessible to vehicles and even for dog walking. We were put into the "communal Area" which was no more than a car park. This was also very wet and muddy. The overall experience was very disappointing. We should have had the opportunity to re book an alternative date when the site conditions improved.

Não gostou I was really unhappy that the original pitch we booked was unavailable due to the ground being so uneven due to excess water and the alternative we were given was basically a car park which was also absolutely soaking. We weren't told in advance or offered any kind of refund for the inconvenience.
The shower and toilet block was also out of action and the alternatives weren't the nicest, the toilet cubicles were ridiculously small and when I went over late at night, the automatic light didn't come on so it was in complete darkness.
For a site that's open all year round, I felt they didn't provide the appropriate facilities. This was our first visit to this local to us site, and we were very disappointed.

Gostou Plenty of open space, great pitch sizes, ehu near to pitch, great for families in drier months I would imagine. Places to visit locally, Winchester Cathedral, Marwell Zoo, plenty of nice pubs and shops a short drive from site

Não gostou Unisex toilets, disabled toilet not checked regularly, toilet paper around base of toilet for my whole stay, no heating in toilets/showers, very cold at this time of year. Very waterlogged so wellies a necessity, just nature, can’t be helped. Road noise quite loud which was a shame as the birds were singing away

Do gerente: Thank you for your review. We do, however, need to clarify several inaccuracies.

You were allocated a hard-standing pitch in our overflow car park, which is gravel and the same surface as our standard pitches, and it included a full electric hook-up, exactly as booked. The overflow car park was closed to the public at the time, with no other vehicles parked there.

Unfortunately, access to the gravel pitch area was temporarily unavailable due to a collapsed access road, which was outside of our control. For safety reasons, vehicle access could not be permitted.

Regarding the shower facilities, there is no heating, and this is clearly stated on the Pitchup website prior to booking.

Finally, our staff were not rude. They responded calmly and professionally to what was, at the time, aggressive behaviour and language. Answering firmly in the face of aggression should not be confused with rudeness.

We always aim to provide a safe, fair, and welcoming environment for all guests, and we stand by how this situation was handled.

Gostou A fantastic place, kids won't be bored here. There's a soft play area and a bar where you can sit and eat. There's also plenty to do outside, like mini golf and a forest. We've been there three times already and plan to go again.

We completely understand your comments regarding the unisex toilet and shower facilities — it’s not our preferred setup either. This arrangement is temporary only while our shower blocks are undergoing refurbishment, and facilities will be returned to separate male and female areas as soon as the work is completed.

Gostou A lovely campsite and a bonus being the soft play area for when it rained.
We will definitely visit again.
The owners were helpful and pitched us next to our sons motorhome.
