Set in 20 rural acres on the Cheshire Plain and five minutes’ drive from the pretty village of Tattenhall, Manor Farm Caravan Park is a small family-owned site with pitches sheltered by high hedges and trees. It’s a peaceful spot that’s something of a wildlife haven; you might wake up to the chirping of birds and the sight of playful wild rabbits scuttling around the fields. Keep your eyes open at dusk to see if you can spot ducks and geese settling for the night around the ponds, or hedgehogs foraging for food. Tattenhall has its fair share of half-timbered cottages and indie shops, plus pubs, restaurants and takeaways if you’re wanting someone else to do the legwork as far as food is concerned. When you’re looking for outdoor adventures, head for Delamere Forest for walks and bike rides, while Chester (both 20 minutes’ drive) makes a great cultural day out. Facilities have been kept to a minimum so as not to disturb the wildlife, but all the pitches have an electric hook-up. There are also spotless showers with loads of hot water to go round, and a covered washing-up sink.

Gostou Loved the area, shower/toilet block was a great addition, pitches were an excellent size so plenty of room for my little campervan. Would definitely return!
Also loved the manor farm cafe for breakfast next door. Great price and lovely food.

Gostou Friendly staff. Good location for Chester.

Não gostou Unfortunately when we stayed there had been a lot of rain the hard standing pitches were flooded and muddy. We were unable to put our awning up as we had to park on the end of the pitch on the loose gravel . The electricity kept tripping which meant us trying to walk through the mud to reset. I would have personally preferred the site to have cancelled so we could have found somewhere more suitable. Mobile phone signal poor in the area. The site managers said the site is due to have some investment. I would consider staying again but in dryer conditions.

Gostou Security on site was excellent. Staff were very helpful and polite.
Showers and toilets were always clean as was the washing up area and toilet waste area.
Having the countryside store( camping supplies included)with cafe next door now makes an already good site even better..

Gostou Good value, lovely friendly welcome and interactions with site owners. Nice hot showers. Flat pitches. Huge dog walking field. Good location for visiting the Chester and Ellesmere area.

Não gostou Grass quite waterlogged with staffing water in areas but there had been a lot of rain too be fair. Quite a muddy area around the tap when refilling.

Gostou We booked this campsite for 2 nights, my husband had a works party in Chester itself so i stayed on the campsite alone, having the manager on site made me feel very safe and she was very friendly and accommodating, my only negative was that unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances the electric hookup wasn’t working the first day but i did receive a call that morning to tell me that this issue had just happened which was great, at least we knew in advance but we was okay as our van is set up for wild camping.
Will definatly be staying here again
Oh yes and the little cafe next to the site is an absolute little gem of a place. Lovely food and very reasonably priced

Gostou Would have been nice to be able to review this but when you get cancelled a few days before your stay.....

Não gostou Said something about electric issues, we stayed here in 2021 and we had no electric for 2 days as they had electric issues then too. Too many people on site using the electric so it over powers the supply and then causes issues.

Do gerente: Hi Heather, Apologies that you didn't get to stay with us. Unfortunately we did have electrical issues on site due to a drop in temperature and an overload on the system. You were offered a refund which you accepted or your stay again with us once the issues had been resolved.
We have only had the park since June this year so were unaware of any previous electrical issues with the park. This problem has been rectified and we apologise again for any inconvenience caused. The last thing we want to do is cancel/move bookings, however some things are not an instant fix.

We enjoyed our stay so much we booked for the New Year.
Great price per night.
Showers and toilets available but with the weather we used our own facilities.

When it comes to keeping younger kids happy, they should be well pleased by a visit to The Ice Cream Farm (five minutes’ drive), where they can run riot on the play areas, join craft workshops and choose their favourite ice-cream flavours. Chester Zoo (15 minutes) is always a popular choice for the chance to see elephants, giraffes and rare rhinos. The handsome city of Chester (20 minutes) itself makes a great day out, thanks to rambles around its Roman/medieval walls. You can also join guided walks around The Rows, a series of half-timbered Tudor-era buildings, and climb the tower at the medieval cathedral. Closer to home, Tattenhall (five minutes) is a historic village with lots of black-and-white architecture to admire. If you’re keen to get out and about in the Cheshire countryside, head to Delamere Forest (20 minutes) and its labyrinth of walking, horse-riding and cycling trails. You can also enjoy family adventures along the Shropshire Union Canal (five minutes), join the Sandstone Trail for woodland jaunts or play a round of golf (both 10 minutes).
