Gostou Clean toilets / showers and warm . nice pitches . Lovely site next to river . Cafe good bacon sandwiches . Hired boat great fun .

Não gostou Not the site but restaurant bolons were not very helpful . Online said could book table at 4 then they said they were closed . Tried booking night after fully booked too but guy said you didn’t need to book . Asked for other pubs no help , kind local helped us out with different options as we were tired after travelling and just wanted some hot food.

Although the restaurant operates its own booking system, it is part of The Riverfront York, and we take your comments seriously. We understand how frustrating it must have been after a long journey when you were simply looking for a hot meal, and we’re sorry this didn’t feel as smooth or as helpful as it should have.

Gostou The most peaceful, beautiful site I have been to. Loved the self check in. Shower and toilet facilities were beautiful. My little boy loved riding his bike around the site. Lovely pitch right on the river front.

Gostou Pitch was flat. Local village is nice. Co Op store is a 10 min walk and useful.

Não gostou Security is none existent. No booking in or barrier. Just drive to your pitch. Very public site. We had pitch 10. We had a drove of people walking past looking into our motorhome. Fellow campers have respect but people walking past were looking at us eating and standing there. 20+ minutes drive to get into York. River taxi not frequent enough. Walk to the old iron bridge is not good. Bit of a dump walking past the unkempt house boat locations.
The amount of mens toilets is woeful, two toilets for the amount of people on site. The grey waste point was full, spilling over into the ground.
Only one person on site, picks up litter, then heads to his boat to eat Pizza.
I could go on.
Never going there again.

Gostou Good sized pitches, lovely clean and warm toilet block, good facilities and good location.

Não gostou Unfortunately, the ladies showers and toilets were all out of order due to a leak and failed lighting. I therefore had to use the mens and it did not feel right.

We’re very sorry for the inconvenience caused by the temporary closure of the ladies’ showers and toilets during your stay. A leak and lighting failure meant we had to take them offline for safety while repairs were carried out, and we appreciate that using the men’s facilities instead may not have felt comfortable. Our team worked to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, and we apologise that this impacted your visit.

Gostou Great site with amazing facilities. The restaurant on site was fully booked with it being Mother’s Day however the Cafe was open and we had some great wraps. Everything was clean and it was lovely and peaceful. Definitely one of the best sites I’ve stayed at.
