Gostou Very open and picturesque, all staff lovely and welcoming. Excellent size pitches, private party for a 30th birthday on the Saturday, music was fantastic so we had our own boogie at our caravan.
Son could ride his bike around and I could see everywhere he went.
Cafe was fantastic, Oreo brownie and strawberry milkshake was to die for.
WiFi is available but doesn’t reach past shower block
Showers were ok but not overly warm and water doesn’t run for very long, no hairdryers fyi

Não gostou Given a map of where our pitch was on arrival, seemed simple enough however the pitch numbers were nowhere to be seen and the ones that were there the posts had rotted away so we’re just propped up against something so had to ask a neighbour what number they were, thankfully we were right next to them but had to guess the amount of space as there were no numbers visible and it was just a huge gravel space so had to keep checking the map to figure out how many gravel pitches were on this space.
Having not been there before it was confusing to us but now we know for future visits and the reception lady did say to give her a call if any problems so we could well have done that but I didn’t want to bother her before we had tried to figure it out ourselves.
Huge chunks of hardcore on the gravel which I believe is from pegs going into the ground and disturbing it so when the pegs are pulled out so is the hardcore, tried to move as much as I could out the way but there was just so much, very uncomfortable and hazardous under awning carpet. Just needs a rake over every once in a while.
Didn’t seem to be a site shop which wasn’t a huge issue as only there for the weekend but is usually the norm for sites to have one.

Não gostou Our pitch seemed a little too close to other pitches. Didn’t seem to have any way of telling if you were on your pitch or encroaching on to the neighbours.

Gostou We loved the campsite. Not too big across lovely grounds. The cafe really was nice overlooking a small pond and the toilet blocks and showers were nice too.

Não gostou Only minor thing was that the shower/toilet blocks could have been cleaned a bit more regularly. WiFi only worked for us at the cafe but not around the campsite but never mind we are camping after all!!

Gostou The camp site was exactly what we wanted, nice spacious, excellent facilities with a bonus onsite cafe, bar and food trunks. Couldn't of asked for more, had an amazing time and already looking at booking again for next year.

Gostou Peaceful site, although we were only there midweek, so not sure how noisy it would get on a weekend.
Hot water in showers and washing area.

Não gostou Dressing area in the shower cubicles flood, making it very difficult to get dried and dressed without getting clothes wet.
The gravel pitches for caravans were not in any order and subsequently some vans were far to close to others. (We didn't accept our given pitch for this reason, and the wardens kindly offered us an alternative)

Gostou We loved the layout and space we had in our pitches. The bar was a great place to go and play cards and have a drink or ice cream. It is well positioned for a lot of different activities.

Gostou The site was lovely, the kids enjoyed the play park. The pitches were large, and whilst busy the wasn’t a lot of noise on the site. The onsite cafe was lovely and reasonably priced. We had pizza from the food truck on Tuesday, and while a bit pricey it was delicious.
The toilet block is large, clean, and spacious. I never had to queue for a toilet or shower.
There is a lots of space for the kids to play football etc.
My fiancé did fish in the little lake. Not many swims and not much in there but he did catch a good sized perch.

Não gostou There was a sewage smell sometimes, that didn’t seem to coincide with people emptying the toilets. Some times during the day the toilet block would smell of it. It wasn’t overly strong and not there all the time.
The hot taps in the toilet block are too hot! Could only use them for a second before switching to the cold tap
The bark paths. The bark was uneven and unpleasant to walk on, and we all constantly had bits of wood in our shoes!
