Had a wonderful stay despite the storm! Loved that all pitches were fenced with hardstanding, grass and picnic tables. Enclosed dog field. Great common room with tv games etc. facilities were spotless with lovely soaps and lotions and everyone had a personal bath mat. Not far from Beamish.

Electric and water on the plot and was even in a fenced area so my dogs could roam freely.

Gated pitch. Each gated pitch was for sole use. Excellent for dogs.
An amazing common room with all you would need from a microwave to table tennis.

Fabulous site on the moors with panoramic views. There was also a warm games room with a TV, pool table and cooking facilities. Very welcome as we had a challenge to get gas to power our stove in the campervan and this meant we could have some hot food on a wet and misty November night. Got chatting with other campers too which was very sociable. Dog and people friendly.

We absolutely love this site! I was travelling alone with my 4 year old and even though we didn’t arrive until 9am we had the warmest welcome.
The facilities are so well kept, clean and for this time of the year, most importantly…warm! They have a brilliant communal room with everything you’d need.
In the morning we had a knock on the van and my little girl was offered a ride on their donkey which she loved. She got to feed all of the animals and just loved it.
Driving out in the light we were blown away with what a beautiful setting it was in. Fields for miles, gorgeous scenery and so peaceful.
We cannot wait to go back, it was perfect. I just wish we had been booked in for longer.

Clearly owned by the loveliest people who really care about their visitors and their experience. We will be going back as soon as possible!

In addition: excellent phone signal. Which I never thought I’d be too bothered about until I started travelling solo with a 4 year old!

Beautiful hilltop location, but an unexpectedly high standard of facilities. Not a "back to basics" site in any way! The owners have limited the number of pitches to ensure everyone has space to enjoy the wonderful views and access to the beautiful North Pennines.
Superb showers and a separate games room/lounge/kitchen make this a luxury experience in the middle of wild Northumbria!
Great alpaca/sheep/pony action too ;-)

Bonners Lodge , was better than we were expecting. It is in a beautiful location, peaceful, charming with lovely people running it. The facilities were excellent for young and old alike , whatever the weather there was something to do. My husband and i had great fun playing , pool, tabletop football and tabletop tennis. We were able to get up close to the sites animals, the alpaca's being one highlight for us both. The toilet/shower block were very clean and as we went during school time didn't have to queue once to use them.Excellent location for nearby Beamish which we came to see and The Angel of the North. We would certainly recommend it to anyone.

What a gem of a site! Just home and already know we will be back! Small but with facilities that are above what any site needs offer. Our girls absolutely loved the park, games room, fairy garden and animals! The owners go above and beyond ! The animal interactions our daughters got to take park in were nothing short of wholesome. Thank you for making a rainy day so full of sunshine!
