Likte Nice relaxed campsite, large pitch with great views of Abersoch. Loads of hot water for showers and washing up.

Likte ikke Unfortunately, our experience with the site manager was disappointing, particularly due to his manner and the patronising tone he used when dealing with both us and our neighbours.

Our neighbours received two warnings about noise, despite their tent being less than five yards from ours. We were in a position to clearly hear what was happening, and at no point did we hear them being excessively loud or playing loud music. In my opinion, they did absolutely nothing wrong. What was particularly disappointing was the way the site manager spoke to them. His manner was extremely patronising, and he spoke to them as though they were children rather than paying customers. It was this manner and tone, rather than simply being spoken to about a site rule, that made them feel uncomfortable enough to leave the site early.

We were also told that the site manager had spoken to other tents about noise, although our neighbours said that this had not happened.

On another occasion, the site manager barged in front of me while I was walking into the top-site showers. He also told my son off twice for riding his electric bike, despite him using it on the slow setting. We noticed several other children riding electric bikes at considerably higher speeds without being spoken to, which made the situation feel inconsistent and unfair.

During the second half of our stay, we had new neighbours whose dog displayed very aggressive behaviour and unfortunately bit my husband on the leg. This was understandably concerning and further affected our overall experience.

Overall, while we completely understand that site rules need to be enforced and that staff have a responsibility to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment, we felt that the way certain situations were handled was unnecessarily confrontational and inconsistent. In particular, the site manager’s manner and patronising tone had a negative impact on our stay and, in our view, directly contributed to our neighbours deciding to leave early. We would strongly encourage management to consider how concerns are communicated to guests, as people can be reminded of the rules without being made to feel belittled or spoken down to.

Likte Lovely peaceful site everyone was respectful while we were there and quiet at night. I was camping alone with my kids and I felt safe there.

Likte ikke The walk to the beach was a bit further than I thought it would be and down a steep hill. So with the kids and all the beach stuff I would have driven down probably if I’d have realised. That’s not really about the site, but just a heads up for others going.

The walk to the end of Abersoch beach is 18 minutes. We provide an illustrated walking map at the office to guests that enquire about local walking routes and always advise that the walk back has a steep section. On the plus side it means we have wonderful sea views at the top of the hill!

Likte The people running it were great when we arrived, directed and showed us to our spot. Shop had loads to buy and was reasonably priced. Toilets and showers were clean throughout our stay. Clear recycling strategy in place too which was good to see

Likte ikke The only couple of complaints I would have are the showers don’t stay on long enough when pressed and go from boiling to freezing on each press. Also there were some people camping who decided to start flying round on electric bikes

Likte The people who run this site are amazing! We have been twice now and have loved it both times. This time we had an issue with our tent leaking and were given a bell tent free of charge. I would 100% recommend this site.
Back to nature field is exactly that. Facilities are great, we will definitely be back

Ali the owner was very helpful and very knowledgeable about the area and what was going on.
There was food vans for pizza and burgers which came and parked up just outside the camp site and the burgers were excellent

Likte We stayed from Friday evening until Sunday and it was a lovely stay! The site is really friendly and has everything that you need. Park for the children and a little shop that has everything that you might need. The toilet and shower facilities are clean and always tidy. We would highly recommend people booking and would 100% book again if we visit Abersoch in the future.
