River Dart Country Park

Likte We had the best time. So much to do. We came as 2 adult couples. The food in the restaurant was so good and the staff friendly. We had a great time being kids again (while ours were away with school), exploring all the obstacles courses, jumping in the river and exploring the grounds. The toileting facilities were clean, there was a drying room which was a lovely surprise. Just an all round fantastic time and we are already planning our next trip and bringing the kids next time!

Likte ikke Only thing we disliked is that we could hear the arcade music in the morning when trying to have a lay in, and the tractors driving around early. (I am super sensitive to noise) But we were pitched close to the main area of the complex, so next time we would probably ask to be pitched further away. Overall we had the best time.

Likte Toilet and shower facilities well maintained and plentiful. Adventure playground and range of activities is great for those wanting an active holiday. Breakfast buffet was first class.
It's a great site if busy is what you are after

Likte ikke Busy and bustling until late in the evening - music pumping out at 10pm and again at 5.30am - great for big groups and people with loads of kids, not so good for absorbing the quiet beauty of Dartmoor! Sawmill was extortionate and evening menu food was dire - chicken was like rubber and inedible which was nearly £20! No staff around to advise on whether free entrance still applied Sunday and pitch was not labelled as on map so on arrival it appeared someone was in our pitch. No one around to ask or help.

Likte Amazing space, lots to do, the water with the pirate ship felt safe and a great space, the rope swing, my child could have spent all day there.
Lots of space and you don't feel on top of each other.
The food is amazing and generous portions, best of all the staff are so friendly and great with the kids.

Likte ikke Toilet get a little dirty during the day but are very well maintained compared to a lot of camp sites. The water in the shower area gets cold between 10-7pm. The was someone playing loud music until 1am and then started again at 5.30am the next day, but the next evening there was no music so I think the warden must of have a word with them.
My main dislike (but I'm fully aware there is nothing they can do about this) is that there are so many gnats, we are all bitten head to toe, I've never experienced anything like it..

Likte The whole place was so beautiful and well presented - easy to get in and parked up. Big bays, clean amenities. So much to do and see my family had such an awesome time. So many activities, play areas, adventures etc was superb.

The onsite pub/ restaurant had really nice food and good value for you money.

Likte It has so much lovely nature surrounding this site. Some beautiful trees, the river and back drops. Plenty of space on pitch. LOADS for the kids to do. We took our two girls, aged 9 &7. Everything has been thought out and avaliable. Nice warm cafe, and shop for any essentials.
The campsite is obviously very popular, as even with poor weather it was very busy! Even though there were a lot of people there, there were enough facilities and didnt have to queue for anything needed. We particularly loved the climbing trail and park.

Likte ikke Unfortunately, the weather was wet! With this came a muddy, grassy shower block! Shower/toilet block wasn't heated and had limited supplies to clean out the showers out after. Meaning potentially people wasn't? There were staff around many times cleaning them out, but unfortunately for me this was a basic sweep and let the site down. I personally left the shower for this reason.

Likte Spacious pitches, facilities were clean. Lots of beautiful walks and things to do with children of all ages. It was peaceful.

Likte ikke Some of the pitches were uneven, however we asked to move and they allowed it straight away.
