River Dart Country Park

Ik was blij met It has so much lovely nature surrounding this site. Some beautiful trees, the river and back drops. Plenty of space on pitch. LOADS for the kids to do. We took our two girls, aged 9 &7. Everything has been thought out and avaliable. Nice warm cafe, and shop for any essentials.
The campsite is obviously very popular, as even with poor weather it was very busy! Even though there were a lot of people there, there were enough facilities and didnt have to queue for anything needed. We particularly loved the climbing trail and park.

Ik was niet blij met Unfortunately, the weather was wet! With this came a muddy, grassy shower block! Shower/toilet block wasn't heated and had limited supplies to clean out the showers out after. Meaning potentially people wasn't? There were staff around many times cleaning them out, but unfortunately for me this was a basic sweep and let the site down. I personally left the shower for this reason.

Ik was blij met Utilities block lovely clean, bright and warm.
Pitches nice and spacious.
Well loved grounds.
New things added to the park since we were last there a few years ago.
Our pitch time being extended as our plans had changed.

Ik was blij met Attractive situation, well signposted. If you have young kids they'll love the activities.
It was easy to find our pitch and the large toilet/shower block was clean.

Ik was niet blij met Husband reported showers were luke warm.

Ik was blij met Large tent pitches, toilet and shower block cleaned regularly and staff were friendly. Lovely walks around the campsite and lots to do. In a good location.

Ik was blij met Excellent value for money, gorgeous grounds, well appointed and maintained toilet/shower block, and convenient water points

Ik was niet blij met The bar closes at 5pm. This is a couple hours before most people would like to relax with an evening drink or two.

Ik was blij met Returning 15 years after my last visit but this time with my 6 year old son was magical. We had lovely weather and connected to nature in the best way. Amazing facilities and the kids were entertained all day long. We did two nights and if you are doing more you will probably want to explore locally but there is loads to see on beautiful Dartmoor.

We will be returning with friends over the next few years. Clean facilities, well kept pitches and incredible surroundings.

Take wetsuit shoes and wetsuits for the more sensitive amongst you, the pirate ship and rope swing water is freezing even in summer! But worth it for the feeling.

Ik was blij met Wonderful camping experience in beautiful surroundings. Facilities are conveniently located and cleaned regularly. So much to do. Staff were all lovely and very helpful. The food in the old sawmill was delicious. Good value with decent portions and the unlimited salad was a family favourite. My daughter loved all the activities. We’re hoping to squeeze in another stay before the end of the summer holidays.
