Likte Really big pitches. The owners were so friendly and helpful. Our electric hookup lead was too short and kindly lent us a longer one.
The dog walk was a lovely bonus. Pub on site was great. Site had everything we needed.

Likte Great location with walks directly from the campsite. John and Rachel were very friendly and welcoming. Our pitch was level, spacious and sunny as we requested. We didn't need to use the facilities but the motorhome servicing was all very convenient. We will definitely be back.

Likte We really enjoyed our stay on arrival went to reception which was greated by rachel and john who are great informed us of everything we needed to know. The campsite is very peaceful and relaxing didn't want to go back home. The facilities are alright couldn't grumble they serve there purpose. We visited the pub just off site which is lovely dog friendly too and very cheap. There is also a little village shop which serves food too which is also very reasonable priced. We didn't move off site during our stay has we made the most of the lovely walks through the fields and down the brook. Would definitely come back again.

Likte The pitch size and location was fantastic, right next to the stream which gave our children loads of things to do searching for crayfish and smaller fish. We were even able to catch quite a few!

The location is so peaceful, giving us a fantastic opportunity to just disconnect from the hustle and bustle of life and concentrate on what's important.

The site owners could not have been more friendly and helpful, they knew this was our first time camping and went above and beyond to make it as amazing as possible. They recommended a hiking trail that was great, although we did manage to misinterpret a part of the instructions (totally our fault!) which took us on what we like to call an "unscheduled detour", but in all honesty that only added to the hilarity and fun of the day!

All of the facilities were great and pretty close to our pitch, which was useful for those 4am toilet runs with the kids.

The corner shop was literally over the road from the site and the hot food that they offer for both breakfast and evening meals was really useful (and at a very reasonable price), and the owners of the shop were also so kind and welcoming. We weren't able to get into the pub as we hadn't booked previously (as suggested on the listing), but that was something that we knew could be the case and didn't bother us. If you definitely want to go to the pub, you absolutely need to book.

We were only there for 3 days and I have to say, we were all SO disappointed that we couldn't stay longer because we enjoyed it so much.

Sleeping to the sound of the stream was so lovely, and a special mention needs to be given to the sheep on the field next door that gave us all so many laughs when everyone was going to sleep but you just got the "baaaaa" from them that started the sniggers from the kids!!

Couldn't recommend this site enough, it was fantastic!

Likte ikke Really can't find anything wrong with the site itself, it's brilliant and so welcoming/peaceful.

The only 'negative' we had from our stay was when we got to The Bridges Pub during our hike we found them less than welcoming, to the point that it actually felt a little awkward, but that was on a Sunday afternoon so perhaps it'd been a busy day so it's unfair to judge based solely on that.

It was disappointing though to read that you had not experienced a nice welcome at 'The Bridges' pub, I believe that this is unusual but appreciate that it is not pleasant when it happens. Likte The stream, the park, the space, location (close to two lovely pubs and the shop), the owners. A lot of areas so you don’t feel confined. The current website doesn’t do the site justice as it was a lot better than we hoped. A lot of safe space for the kids to play in, the walks from the site were lovely, local pubs very welcoming, lovely location. Would recommend.

Likte ikke The sewage/waste smell was really rather strong by what I would imagine is the septic tank.
Also a larger group decided every night to start their ‘evening’ around 10pm playing music etc. luckily we weren't next to them but that would have got frustrating.

The site has recently changed hands but we're thrilled you felt that the site was better than you'd hoped so hopefully we can reflect this in the near future. We unfortunately have inherited an occasional unpleasant smell which tracks down from the road, we are actively investigating this as we appreciate that it's not the experience anybody wants while enjoying a few days away. It's also disappointing to read about the late noise, site etiquette is to be quiet 11pm to 8am but we try & encourage fellow visitors to be respectful to each other at all times. We look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Likte ikke Grass being left when mowed.......Not idea when your in a Caravan, Camper van or Tent.
Maybe something to consider to make peoples stay more enjoyable.
