Ik was blij met We did a last minute booking, the owner was very helpful and friendly. It was a nice quiet location. Just a basic field basically with some animals you can go and see. There's toilets, showers and running water, and we were told there was an electric outlet we could charge our phones from even though we didnt need it.

Ik was blij met As close to wild camping as you can get... if you'd like a warm shower, a compost toilet and somewhere to charge your phone if necessary. Very friendly and welcoming hosts. Beautiful location, surrounded by rolling hills and animals.
Ik was niet blij met There is nothing to dislike if you read the campsite description carefully.

Ik was blij met A stunning view over de hills. In a quiet meadow away from the road. The host is very friendly and gave us a warm welcome. The facilities were clean and food. Liked very much.

Ik was blij met This site 'does exactly what it says on the tin'. Its an honest non electric, grass and earth, tent pitch campsite. If you are happy with reasonably priced, wild camping with just a touch of luxury in the shape of sensible, clean, composting toilets and a lovely hot shower then this is for you. Becky and Tony are the friendliest, kindest, most generous hosts. They live on site during the season - it is a working farm- and are there to advise if required. We found ourselves in difficulties during our stay and they couldn't do enough for us - for which we are so very grateful - and made sure that we were able to continue our holiday.
The site has not only the farm animals that live there, but also a range of wonderful wildlife - plant, animal, insect and bird.
There's a great pub that does lovely food, 5 minutes drive away, but the site is quiet and small, off the main road, but close enough to amenities in Cowes and Newport (10 minutes drive) to be convenient.
Yes, the ground is a touch uneven. Yes, its a farm, so there is the odd piece of machinery around. No, there isnt a clubhouse, shop or entertainment (thank the lord for that!). But the positives FAR outweigh the negatives.
Now I hope I havent recommended it so highly that it is busy next time we visit - because we definitely will. Thank you Becky and Tony for an amazing stay.

Ik was blij met Wild camping in a secure field, basic amenities, pigs, and a wood! Very friendly host (Tony). Enjoyed seeing this project at its early stages.
Ik was niet blij met Earth mounds and old tyre tracks makes the field feel a little bit like a building site at present.

Ik was blij met Lovely peaceful site and really friendly owners! We particularly loved getting to say hi to the pigs and sheep.
The shower is nice and hot, compost loos are super easy to use. Can’t say a bad word about this site, would definitely recommend!

Ik was blij met Mijn vrouw en ik waren op fietsvakantie door Zuid-Engeland en deden ook Isle of Wight aan voor een paar dagen. De ontvangst door Tony en Becky op de Pigsty Farm was bijzonder hartelijk en we voelden ons dan ook direct thuis. Er was een fijne balans tussen betrokkenheid en vrijheid. De voorzieningen zijn eenvoudig maar adequaat. We waren gecharmeerd van het idealistische uitgangspunt van de eigenaren, dat voor ons gevoel valt samen te vatten in ‘small is beautiful’…
We hopen oprecht nog eens terug te gaan en/of Tony en Becky nog eens te treffen. Dank voor een paar heel ontspannen, rustige vakantiedagen.. Sigurd en Daniëlle
