Ik was blij met Nice spot, very close to Whitby and a good view over the fields toward Whitby.
Really easy check in, very calm trip.
Couldn’t hear the road which is busy and close, it didn’t impact us at all.

Ik was blij met Great position easy reach of Barnard Castle, very clean site, host was great as told us all about how to get around, parking tips places to see. Nice walk around newly planted trees and bushes.

Van de manager: Thanks for your review; a reminder we are still very much in silly season.

At the start of the summer we posted on social media asking guests unable to read not to book stays with us. I now understand this was a mistake. How, after all, could those unable to read make sense of the post in the first place. I'll try and design a suitable image to convey this information next year.

If you were able to read then it would have been no surprise to you that we do not have toilet or shower facilities. PitchUp makes very clear we do not have these.

Furthermore, we did not double book your pitch. Instead, some moron arrived and decided not to take the pitch they were allocated and parked on yours instead. If you had made us aware of this we'd have immediately been on site to address the situation. Instead you simply sent some vague message about us dobule booking the pitch when we clearly hadn't.

Delighted you won't be back to join us in a future silly season.

Ik was niet blij met We weren’t given our pitch number until almost 9pm. Then there was an awning across it. We had to squeeze in between other vans. People were arriving with no information. The owners were impossible to contact. I have asked for a refund but they haven’t responded

As our latest message to you shows, the pitch number was sent to you at 12:46pm. I have no idea why you didn't receive it until so late, but from the correspondence we've had with you I aren't convinced by the story at all.

Everyone arrived with the information they needed but you caused problems by taking someone else's pitch. You say we were impossible to contact and we haven't responded; neither of these claims are true.

You will absolutely not be receiving a refund because you caused us problems and we're delighted you won't be staying with us again.

Ik was blij met Beautiful views, nicely set out pitches, bus stop right outside making it very easy to get out and about. Lovely quiet friendly site.

Ik was blij met Great location as equidistant between Whitby and Robin Hood's bay. Adjacent to the Cinder track which takes you off-road into both towns. Superb views over the valley towards Whitby. Tidy site with essential facilities. Very helpful owner in assisting with a last-minute change of booking.

Ik was blij met Incredible views and within easy cycling of both Whitby and Robin Hood’s Bay. Bike hire available by appointment just yards from the campsite if you didn’t bring your own. The Cinder Track is an off-road route that follows a disused railway track and is perfect for walks or cycling and (when in season) blackberry picking.
Site offers basic amenities and a relaxed atmosphere. I booked for two nights and stayed for four. Will return!
