What customers say
A ripper spot! Clean, quiet, and top-notch location with awesome views. Easy check-in via text and friendly owners. Perfect for trekkers and cyclists with the Cinder Track, Whitby, and Robin Hood's Bay close by. Buses handy too. Great value for a peaceful getaway, though no loos or showers and a bit of road noise now and then.

Terrible experience

Disliked We weren’t given our pitch number until almost 9pm. Then there was an awning across it. We had to squeeze in between other vans. People were arriving with no information. The owners were impossible to contact. I have asked for a refund but they haven’t responded

From the manager: Hilarious review from someone clearly on the grift.
As our latest message to you shows, the pitch number was sent to you at 12:46pm. I have no idea why you didn't receive it until so late, but from the correspondence we've had with you I aren't convinced by the story at all.
Everyone arrived with the information they needed but you caused problems by taking someone else's pitch. You say we were impossible to contact and we haven't responded; neither of these claims are true.
You will absolutely not be receiving a refund because you caused us problems and we're delighted you won't be staying with us again.

Great location as equidistant between Whitby…
Unpowered gravel caravan site
Liked Great location as equidistant between Whitby and Robin Hood's bay. Adjacent to the Cinder track which takes you off-road into both towns. Superb views over the valley towards Whitby. Tidy site with essential facilities. Very helpful owner in assisting with a last-minute change of booking.
Disliked No means to recycle.

Incredible views and within easy cycling…
Unpowered gravel caravan site
Liked Incredible views and within easy cycling of both Whitby and Robin Hood’s Bay. Bike hire available by appointment just yards from the campsite if you didn’t bring your own. The Cinder Track is an off-road route that follows a disused railway track and is perfect for walks or cycling and (when in season) blackberry picking.
Site offers basic amenities and a relaxed atmosphere. I booked for two nights and stayed for four. Will return!
Disliked No facility to recycle but maybe that’s the council.

In good reach of cycle track…
Unpowered gravel caravan site
Liked In good reach of cycle track to Whitby and other areas.
Disliked Hadn't realised there were no facilities! My van is tiny and we have no toilet/shower! So not ideal. Entirely my fault, as rushed the booking. But it did spoil our stay.

From the manager: Thanks for your - somewhat bizarre - review. Sorry to read that you spoilt your own stay by not making sure our site had the facilities you require.
5/10 for your reading skills.
