Anglers and adventurers, get ready, because Fendicks Fishery is a stunning Norfolk site with five well-stocked fishing lakes and a mature woodland, just half an hour’s drive from Thetford Forest. Out there, there’s plenty of adventuring to be done, with High Lodge and its Go Ape centre as a good starting point. There's a well-balanced atmosphere at this site, as the team have worked hard over the years to manage and landscape the grounds so that there’s a good combination of nature and fishing. Anglers have access to five lakes with a variety of fish up for grabs, including catfish (weighing in at over 95 lbs), carp, tench, silverfish and more. With 32 acres of mature woodland surrounding the lake, peaceful and scenic are two words that accurately Fendicks Fishery. Plus, there’s a splendid set-up in terms of facilities, with a toilet and shower block that’s kept toasty by underfloor heating, a washing-up area, washing machines, information room, Elsan points and the reception area. All the grassy pitches have access to electric hook-up (how handy). When you’re not unwinding around the acres of space around this well-kept site or spending an afternoon fishing, you could take off onto the miles of paths around Thetford Forest or head further out onto the Norfolk coast, which will take you around an hour’s drive or just over.

Fendicks Fishery wordt geprezen om vriendelijk personeel, schone voorzieningen en rustige ligging aan het meer. Populair bij vissers en gezinnen. Ruime plaatsen, restaurant en goed onderhouden terrein. Kleine minpunten waren douchewaterdruk en geluid van evenementen, maar over het algemeen zeer positief en gasten willen terugkomen.

Ik was niet blij met the fact we didnt feel like we could fish, the ponds were a very strange colour and there was little shade in exceptionally hot weather. There was also absolutely no wifi in our cabin but this was due to its location

Ik was blij met Our lovely 3 night break at Fendicks Fishery is coming to a close, we have had a chilled and relaxing time with some fishing, (hubby has caught just the 2 carp) eating and drinking (onsite bar and restaurant are fabulous)- (Rondos and Hubbles) it’s definitely becoming our happy get away from it all place, as it’s only 90 minutes from home. Just feel lucky to have such a stunning place so close to home as everyone is so friendly here, guests and staff alike, the views across the lakes are incredible and so peaceful. We even ventured off site to Lynford Water in Thetford Forest for a nice dip in the man made lake with beaches which was amazing. Next time we stay we will be staying in a shepherds hut for 2 nights in November ❤️❤️💙💙

Only up the road, but feels like a million miles away. Everyone on the site are friendly and helpful, which then leads to the people staying on site also being happy and friendly. We love Fendicks 🥰

Ik was blij met We liked the site, the people couldn't do more than be very helpful, the bar has very good prices and the cafe/restaurant was very good value for money with plenty of choice. Very accommodating in that we had to move pitch and they found us something more suitable for my disabled husband's needs.

Ik was niet blij met The fishing swims were far too steep for my disabled husband but when we decided to leave, they found us a pitch which was the most level in the whole place. We could also get the MH close and it suited us just fine. The bar was very busy on the Sat. night and far too loud for us. The water is very low in the lakes but that's understandable. We would like to see more swims on more of a level for disabled people.

Ik was blij met friendly staff toilet and showers were very clean and hot food and drink at good priced

Ik was niet blij met i have some mobility issues found the fishing lakes very steep i stuggled to fish could do with alittle platform at the swims

Ik was blij met Nice quiet site, good shower/toilet blocks. Nice bar and restaurant, pleasant staff.

Ik was niet blij met Went for the fishing which was good but the steep sloping banks I did not like they bordered on being dangerous. Electricity is metered so I used it sparingly and it worked out at £3.50 per day.

Ik was blij met This is my happy place ! Everything on site that you need, exceptional facilities and always hot water in the showers. The pitches are huge so lots of privacy and the grounds are well maintained.Lots of events happening most weekends. Lisa please let me stay lol

Lokale bezienswaardigheden

Head to High Lodge (half an hour’s drive) to kickstart your tour of Thetford Forest. There are all sorts of ways to become one with the forest, from hiring out a Segway, taking an archery lesson or finding your zen with forest yoga. Go Ape Thetford (half an hour) will require a little bravery and some acrobatic skills for its treetop courses and zipwires, but on the ground, there are three cycling trails and four footpaths to follow from High Lodge. If you’re looking to find some places where the kids are likely to be entertained, Banham Zoo (35 minutes) is one such place, as are Melsop Farm Park (35 minutes) and Church Farm Stow Bardolph (15 minutes), two farm parks with a variety of animals and farm-style activities. A day at the coast is also possible from this site… just pick your seafront of choice. Perhaps Hunstanton (55 minutes) and Cromer (an hour and 20 minutes) to the north, or Great Yarmouth (an hour and 10 minutes) to the east? Towards the coast is Bressingham Steam & Gardens (40 minutes), a nice choice to see working steam locomotives in the flesh.
