Ketch Caravan Park

Ik was blij met: This easy to find, 'work in progress' site will be a 'little gem' when completed.
Whilst a lot of work is going on at the site, it did not impact our weekend away.
Close to motorway/main roads, but road noise minimal (so minimal that you don't even notice it). Very peaceful, beautiful views and chilled.
2 min walk to Toby Carvery, Aldi & B&M, 3 min walk to Harvester. 5 min walk to Bus Stop for Worcester City Centre.
Walks along the riverside.
Jake, the Site Manager was a lovely young chap, very friendly & helpful.
Toilet Block clean & tidy and the Rainfall Showers fab.
We will definetely be returning for weekend get-aways as long as we can bring our Dog.

Ik was niet zo blij met: Confusing information about Dog types accepted/not accepted. The Ketch Webside states Dogs Welcome on leads, etc.

Via Pitch-up it states: The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.

My disappointment is not accepting the following, Staffordshire Bull Terrier - we have a very well behaved Staffordshire Bull Terrier - which is NOT on the Dangerous Dogs Act - so do not understand these being banned on the site. Our Staffy has travelled with us on hundreds of Motorhome holidays and never been refused to stay on any campsite?

Also, Pitch-Up suggests 20p to use the Showers - this is incorrect, there is not extra charge.

Ik was blij met: How peaceful it was and staff friendly

Ik was niet zo blij met: Toilets and shower block to far away
Also waste water to far away
The steps to go to the toilet/shower block are way to steep
Anyone with walking difficulties would not cope with it all .

Ik was blij met: The position of the site great veiw of the river 7. The nice walk into Worcester clean site obviously still on going work with the static site clean showers and toilets .owner very helpful if needed very quite considering you are near a main road

Ik was niet zo blij met: Was a good walk to the chemical waste area (but we were told about this before we booked so it wasn't a surprise just a dislike)

Ik was blij met: Much improved on our last visit (we have family nearby).
Impressive new gateway
Newly laid tarmac roads and tidied up shrubbery give a much better impression.
New hook ups, water points, paths and service point. Completely refurbished toilet block with laundry room is a huge improvement.
There were lots of new static pitches which have yet to be occupied when we visited, as a consequence the the areas between still needs turfing /planting out, although it was apparent that some plants have started to be put in.
The location is convenient for Worcester and getting onto the road network.
The site itself is well positioned next to the river and with supermarket and B&M plus a pub next door.

Ik was niet zo blij met: You can hear the road noise from the flyover but it's not too bad.

Ik was blij met: The river, toilet block was new and very clean. Showers a bit small. Need steps in middle of bank as long way round either way. Noisy motorway very close but loved proximity to town centre.

Ik was blij met: Great spot on the river with a lovely walk along the river to Worcester. Great value for money compared to a lot of sites. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There's a new shower block and were clean and tidy. There's only 22 pitches so not busy. The site is shared with a static caravan park which as been upgraded and awaiting new vans. I would definitely return.

Ik was niet zo blij met: Distance to the elsan and fresh water but I understand the bottom field can flood in the winter.

Ik was blij met: We really enjoyed our stay. It gave the kids the opportunity to actually play and be kids. They met friends on site to play with, and there are things not far from site for kids to do.

Ik was niet zo blij met: The toilets need to be cleaned daily as well and the showers. The toilet paper needs replenished every day.

Ik was blij met: Location and you have got two pubs in easy walking distance to have a nice meal. Only downside as a tourer you have to walk round the edge of the site to get to toilet instead of putting a central pathway and steps in the middle,

Ik was blij met: Spacious pitches

Ik was niet zo blij met: No signage or directions on how to get to toilet/shower block or water points. The sites like a building site. It's ironic how in the rules it asks you not to walk on static caravan foundations that have been laid but you have to walk on them to get to shower block that's located in far corner of the site. I used the steps at side of elsan point and motorhome filling station they led me straight onto the foundations where I fell and now have cracked ribs and grazed knees. Toilets and showers aren't clean they weren't cleaned all over the bank holiday weekend which is such a shame as brand new shower block.

Im sorry but your review is ridiculous.
You read in the rules which we give ti all our guests, not to walk on the static pitches, but you did it anyway?
It is blatantly obvious the path to the toilet block it is up a set of steps to the left or up a ramp to the right, you do not need to come off the paths and walk on the static pitches.
We get the comment a lot that the toilet block is a bit of a walk which it is, I have explained numerous times that the toilet block has to be where it is as the camping field floods each winter.
The toilet block is cleaned on a regular basis.

Ik was blij met: Vacinity to the River Severn and close walking distance to Worcester City centre.... Quiet site even over a BH weekend as it is undergoing a full renovation. Jake was lovely, helpful and didn't seem to stop working! Also close to a couple of eating pubs, an Aldi and a B&M store. Great location for exploring local area.....
