Ik was blij met An intimate friendly site in a beautiful part of the world! We enjoyed a really friendly welcome and loved the honesty shop for coffees and ice cream after our camp supper. The facilities (shower, washroom and loos plus the small shared kitchen) were clean and provided everything that we needed in conjunction with our camper van.

Lots of great cycle routes close by through chocolate box villages and purpose made off road cycle tracks like The Ridgeway and Icknield Greenway. Wantage is very pretty and useful for supplies.

Ik was niet blij met The "idiot" drivers on some of the local roads which made one question safety a little bit - either for walking or cycling.

Ik was blij met This was a beautifully maintained campsite with a fantastic honesty shop that had everything we needed. The pitches were flat and of a good size. Toilet and shower block was well maintained and regularly cleaned.

The owner was really friendly and helpful

Ik was niet blij met The only drawback was the proximity to the main road and the volume (and noise) of traffic at night. This is easily reduced with a pair of earplugs though.

Ik was niet blij met Pitches are far too small. Just about enough space for our tents, barely enough space to sit outside of the tent. Not enough toilets/showers when the site is full.
If the pitches were made bigger it would be great, as it wouldn't feel overcrowded and there would be enough toilets.

The owner/site managers customers service was very poor and had a significant negative impact on the experience

Van de manager: We are sorry to receive your review. Freedom Camping Club inspected our amenities several years ago and allowed 25 pitches on our site. We only have 18 pitches designated - this is our decision. A tip for future bookings on Pitch Up is to check the pitch sizes and make sure that they are adequate for your tent size. Your two pitches were 8 metres by 6 metres each. Thankfully you parked your cars on our car-park so you could put up your two large tents. However, you arranged them so the only communal area for your group was in an adjacent pitch which you had not paid for. We did ask you to move from encroaching on a fourth pitch which we had assigned to an Austrian couple, but they decided on a different location. Please bear in mind that this was a Bank Holiday weekend and sites are generally very busy or fully booked (like ours was) compared to other weekends.

Ik was blij met Freundlicher Empfang, sehr gut und liebevoll organisiert, ein unglaublich vielfältiges Vogelkonzert in der Früh.

Ik was niet blij met Eine Dusche für die Größe des Campingplatzes zu wenig.

Ik was blij met I chose this campsite for a bikepacking overnighted, primarily because it had a shower that didn’t look like a portaloo! But actually it had so much more going for it that made it ideal as my campspot. The honesty shop had loads of really convenient and really fairly priced treats. After a long, 28 degree day in the saddle, to be able to grab a cold can of sprite from the fridge was a refreshing treat. But actually the coffee machine and hot water meant I didn’t need to set up my stove just to make hot water, which would have been such a faff. I’m so pleased a landed on this campsite and I would definitely come back and recommend to friends!

Ik was blij met Lovely campsite. Very clean with excellent facilities. Lovely honesty shop. Yummy tray bakes. Very organised host. Not far from Ridgeway path and Uffington white horse

Ik was niet blij met Next to a busy road which had traffic going past fast till late and started early
