Ik was blij met The location is excellent, plenty of space to pitch up, the scenery is amazing. Really easy arrival procedure and clear instructions.

Ik was blij met I absolutely love the views. Facilities were basic but very clean. Very friendly Family run Farm. If you are looking for good hikes with stunning scenery, this is your place.

Ik was niet blij met The one shower cubicle is tiny. It’s literally impossible to get changed in there and keep your clothes dry.
But the views made up for it.. I know the idea is to get away from gadgets and everyday things. What I do like to watch a film at night in my van there’s absolutely no Wi-Fi connection for your phone.
Be great if the host provided one

Ik was blij met Beautiful views, lovely relaxed atmosphere of camp where you like. Generous hosts.

Ik was niet blij met The motor cyclist that spent the weekend roaring up and down the hills beside the campsite somewhat ruined the peaceful atmosphere. Also sanitary bins in the loos are a must.

Ik was blij met Ideal location for walking Chrome Hill and the surrounding area.
Facilities were clean and tidy when we arrived.
Pricing was good for the location and available facilities.
Amazing sunsets and sunrises with a picturesque view from the campsite.

Ik was niet blij met There were a couple of groups of young people ( a group of girls and a separate group of boys) drinking and shouting , they were making noise with music into the early hours. Both groups left the site earlier than us, the girls' group left their rubbish and vomit in the middle of the site where they were camped which we had to avoid standing in on the way to the toilets. The boys' group in the corner were obviously intoxicated on something, walking around the site and up and down the hill in a daze, stumbling to the toilets without shoes in a pretty dazed state in the morning, they had left the site and burnt the grass with their campfire and left rubbish scattered around.

No fault of the campsite owners, but I'd suggest someone checking regularly on groups like this; it spoils your wonderful site and experience for other users.

Ik was blij met Scenery was incredible!! Cool sheep in the field and lovely walking routes nearby. Toilets were kept clean and always had toilet paper etc.

Ik was niet blij met Shower was alternating boiling hot and freezing cold which made it difficult. Field did get very windy at times so something to bear in mind if in a tent

Ik was niet blij met Arrived after dark to find sheep wandering around the site…. And with sheep comes sheep poop. Not ideal when you’re camping with kids, hygiene in the tent etc. came home and had to scrub the groundsheet clean this morning.

We try to describe our site as accurately as possible and hope the many other reviews reflect this and guests take this into account prior to booking. We feel the pricing is accurate/favourable for the area and facilities on site as it offers couples, families and small groups a very reasonably priced getaway in a beautiful area with limited but acceptable and clean facilities for a few pounds a night. We are disappointed to see (assume) that cleanliness is marked down to errant sheep in the camping/motorhome field as the toilets/shower cubicle is generally of a good/excellent standard when checked (frequently). Ik was blij met Loved the space for tents, I have teenagers and they don’t want to be in with their mum anymore so worked well. Loved that you pay for pitch not what you put on it.
Location was amazing.
Friendly owners. Cost was perfect for a pop up, no frills campsite.
It was an old school site like they used to be with respect for all from owners to other campers.
Loved the sheep and chicken visits throughout the day. 😊
Showers and toilets were very clean and always toilet roll. I’ve been to bigger more expensive sites where they are a lot worse. There is only 2 toilets but again I don’t mind that and is a small site and didn’t need to Queue at all.
Lots of freedom for children.
Beautiful walks and bikes from the site.
Loved the site and everything about it.

Ik was niet blij met If I have to put one. It didn’t bother me but shower wasn’t working for one day.
I actually think a fuse went or someone turned it off.
WiFi is bad but again if you are camping in a valley that’s what you get.
