May is National Craft and Design Month and there are plenty of campsites and parks in the UK and Europe which offer different activities and the chance to learn a new skill.  From music to archery and basket weaving to pilates, there is something for everyone. Pitchup.com has rounded up some of the best sites where visitors can learn something new and have a great outdoor holiday.

For those who fancy the idea of playing music under the starry sky, Keens Cottage Camping offers a number of music courses. Visitors can croon the night away while enjoying the amazing views in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Located in Dulverton, the gateway to Exmoor, and in close proximity to the beaches along the Devon coastline, there is plenty to be seen in this wonderful region. Guests at the site can also enjoy local fishing, golf, sailing, horse riding, climbing or hire a bike.  A pitch here starts from £15 per night or for those who want to glamp there are furnished bell tents and tipis from £85 per night.

Wild Camping in Cornwall is located in the heart of the beautiful west Penwith, just 15 minutes’ drive to the north Cornish coast. The campsite is perfect for guests interested in learning new crafts as they can take part in different activities organised by the site’s qualified and knowledgeable staff. With bushcraft, upcycling crafts, beading workshops, green woodworking, traditional archery, herbalism, paper making, and wild food walks, there is something for everyone. What’s more, visitors can enjoy making their own campfire for cooking. A tent pitch here starts from £19 per night.

Bwlchgwyn Farm and Pony Trekking is located on a livestock farm overlooking the Mawddach Estuary and Lleŷn Peninsula, where the mountains of Snowdonia hit the sea. Along with the breathtaking views, the campsite offers pony trekking, including options for both beginners and expert riders. Moreover, the Mawddach trail path goes right through the site and is great for walkers and cyclists. Guests with dogs are invited to bring their pets with them and take advantage of the dog training classes which are organised every Tuesday and Thursday. Pitchup.com offers pitches from as little as £14 per night.

Camping Cabopino is located in Marbella and is just a short walk away from the beautiful beach at Cabopino. With computer and Spanish classes on offer, the campsite is the best destination for people interested in developing new skills and brushing up on the local lingo. Moreover, guests can enjoy plenty of activities including pilates, kayaking, aquagym and archery. The site also has a wide range of facilities: two swimming pools, an outdoor gym, a multisport area and a pétanque court. For those after culinary delights, Italian and Indian food is served in the restaurants on site. Pitches start from £17 per night.
