Not Jubilee or diamond but silver – The Motorhome Show is having its 25th annual outing at Stratford-upon-Avon soon, from 22 – 24 June. It's held at the Stratford-upon-Avon Racecourse, where there’ll be two nights of free entertainment and free competitions all alongside the latest, shiniest motorhomes on the market. And if you don’t quite have the cash to buy one of the new ones, there’ll be secondhand motorhomes available as well as other motorhome and caravanning bits and pieces including clothing and gadgets.
It all starts on the Friday and runs each day from 930 am – 5 pm. Tickets are £5 per person if prebooked online and £7.50 on the door on the day. There’s free admission for children and also free car parking available each day.
Make a week of it by staying in Stratford and checking out the local attractions – as well as the many Shakespearean things to do and plays from the Royal Shakespeare Company, there’s also the Stratford-upon-Avon Butterfly Farm, the National Trust’s Charlecote Park and Kinwatron Dovecot, the Welcombe Hills Nature Reserve and activities including golfing and boating, all within easy reach.
