Mi è piaciuto This municipal site had level pitches with great toilet and shower block. We received a very warm welcome by the staff who were friendly and very helpful. There is a supermarket within easy walking distance and nice walk into town with a river for the dog to splash around in. Good location to explore the wind region.

Here, pets are welcome – and what’s more, there’s no extra charge! You can go for a walk along various hiking trails starting from the campsite, and do your shopping without having to go very far!

Mi è piaciuto Very warm welcome with very friendly and helpful staff. Easy walking distance to the lake and local supermarket. Laundry facilities and dish wash facilities. Enjoyed the fresh pastries in the morning

Mi è piaciuto The location was just what we wanted. The site was level and offered plenty of shade and had fully serviced pitches. There were no toilet or shower which was made very clear when booking.

Non mi è piaciuto We were unlucky and the owners were away when we arrived so the Champagne bar was not open.

Mi è piaciuto This is a small adults only site that offered a great welcome by the owners, they were very helpful and friendly. The toilet and shower were well maintained and very clean. The restaurant was first class serving authentic Italian dishes. Great walk to the next village through the woods ideal for the dog

Mi è piaciuto Great location the receptionist was very helpful. The swimming pool was a bonus. The location 5 minutes walk from Lake Garda is amazing. This is a beach and sun type of location. The toilet block was good and regularly cleaned.

Non mi è piaciuto The heat during our time there was intense, not the place to take a dog. There was no toilet paper in the toilets

Mi è piaciuto The owner was very welcoming and helpful, gave a tour of the site and the pitch options. Right next to Lake Ghirla with its own private beach. We both went swimming every day, and the dog. The on site bar was very friendly and served a great pizza. Fresh croissants each morning. The owner’s son was very helpful, with places to visit in the area including the best supermarket. The toilet and showers were good

Mi è piaciuto We received a great welcome and were shown the layout of the site. The farm shop was well stocked with a variety of products. The unisex toilet block worked very well with plenty of hot water

Mi è piaciuto This is the 4th time we have visited portisham. Site is very clean and tidy, staff are allways friendly and cheerful, lovely pub great meals just outside, on site vending machines are good, but a shop just over the road. With excellent walks around you.

Mi è piaciuto A friendly welcome by the staff who were helpful and cheerful throughout our stay. The toilet block had good hot water including the dish washing, cleaned regularly. The laundry was very useful. The forest location was good with plenty of walks and exercise for the dog.

Non mi è piaciuto The bus stop was not within easy walking distance.

Mi è piaciuto Ailsa was very welcoming, friendly and helpful, and very proud of their farm animals.The site was small but all the facilities were very clean and well maintained. All the gravel pitches overlooked the fishing lake and close to the loo. The bus into Lincoln stopped outside the site entrance and brought us back to the entrance later in the day. The local nature reserve was within easy walking distance and we saw a heron, barn owl and cormorant flying overhead. We had a great stay.

Mi è piaciuto The food in the pub was amazing. The staff were very friendly couldn’t do enough. We loved the trivia pursuits cards on the table had a great game while waiting for food. The showers in the ladies were amazing so hot best I have had. It was also so good to see the pub raising so much for charity, I bought a knitted Santa for my van in aid of guide dogs.

Mi è piaciuto This site is in a great location with first class facilities. The shower block was kept spotlessly clean, as was the site generally. There was a laundry and drying room, great after a wet walk. We received a very friendly welcome and all the staff would stop and chat. The pitch was level with plenty of space. There was a bus stop right next to the site entrance with buses running regularly to Conniston one way and Keswick the other way. All in all a great stay.

Mi è piaciuto Gregg was on site to greet us with a smile, showing us the camp layout and facilities. He was always around to answer questions and help with local details. The toilets and showers were first class and well maintained. The site is well placed for the bus stop, just at the end of the lane.

Non mi è piaciuto Room for improvement would be Wi-Fi and a bigger area for a dog exercise area
