Mi è piaciuto We were welcomed by English staff. Its a very relaxed site where you can choose your pitch. We didn't make use of the restaurant and bar, but it's nice that this is an option. The lakes were peaceful. There's only a couple of showers and a few toilets, but there was never any queue. It was also nice to lay out by the pool and catch some rays. Overall, a very enjoyable and relaxed stay. Mainly Brits were staying here. Good value for money as electric, showers and toilets all included.

Mi è piaciuto We stayed here for 2 nights, the owners were lovely and the food in the restaurant was amazing. The kids loved the pool and being 34° when we was here it was very much needed. Everything was easy to find and the owners were just a message away if needed, we would definitely return if travelling down this way in future.

Nous sommes un petit camping familial et nous travaillons énormément pour que nos clients passent un agréable séjour. Pendant votre séjour chez nous, mon mari est venu vous voir à plusieurs reprises et vous a demandé spécifiquement si tout allait bien. À aucun moment, vous ne nous avez fait part de ces problèmes. Si cela avait été le cas, nous aurions bien entendu été heureux d’en discuter avec vous et, dans la mesure du possible, de trouver une solution pendant votre séjour.

Nous comprenons parfaitement que notre camping ne puisse pas convenir à tout le monde, mais nous pensons qu’il est important d’apporter quelques précisions. Notre piscine mesure 10 m × 5 m et sa taille, ainsi que nos équipements, sont clairement présentés et décrits avant la réservation. Nous sommes également particulièrement déçus par votre commentaire concernant la propreté, car l’entretien et la propreté de nos installations sont des points que nous prenons très au sérieux.

Ce qui rend cet avis particulièrement difficile à recevoir, c’est que plusieurs autres clients ayant séjourné chez nous durant la même période nous ont attribué la note de 10/10. Bien entendu, chaque client est libre d’avoir sa propre expérience et sa propre opinion, mais une évaluation aussi radicalement différente est difficile à accepter pour une petite entreprise familiale, surtout lorsque rien ne nous a laissé penser, pendant votre séjour, que vous étiez mécontents.

Nous continuerons à faire ce que nous avons toujours fait : travailler dur, écouter nos clients et faire de notre mieux pour offrir un camping accueillant et agréable à toutes les personnes qui viennent séjourner chez nous.

We are a small, family-run campsite and work extremely hard to make sure our guests enjoy their stay. During your time with us, my husband spoke to you on several occasions and specifically asked whether everything was OK. At no point were any of these concerns raised with us. Had they been, we would have been more than happy to discuss them and, where possible, put things right during your stay.

We appreciate that our campsite will not suit everybody, but we do feel some context is important. Our swimming pool is 10m × 5m and its size and our facilities are clearly shown and described before booking. We also find the comment regarding cleanliness particularly disappointing, as maintaining clean facilities is something we take very seriously.

What makes this review especially upsetting is that we received multiple 10/10 reviews from other guests staying with us during the same period. Of course, every guest is entitled to their own experience and opinion, but such a dramatically different assessment is difficult for a small family business to receive, particularly when we were given no indication during your stay that you were unhappy.

We will continue doing what we always do: working hard, listening to our guests and doing our very best to provide a friendly and enjoyable campsite for everyone who stays with us.

Nous sommes un petit camping familial et nous travaillons énormément, particulièrement pendant la haute saison, pour offrir à nos clients un séjour agréable. La propreté de nos sanitaires et l’entretien de notre piscine sont des choses que nous prenons très au sérieux.

Nous acceptons bien entendu les critiques lorsqu’elles nous permettent de nous améliorer. Cependant, nous trouvons qu’une note de 1/10 est extrêmement sévère et ne reflète pas l’expérience de la grande majorité de nos clients. Durant cette même période, nous avons reçu plusieurs excellents avis, dont des notes de 10/10, notamment pour la propreté, les équipements et le service.

Concernant la piscine, elle est entretenue et contrôlée régulièrement. Avec une utilisation intensive en plein mois d’août, notamment lors des périodes de très forte chaleur, il peut arriver que des feuilles, de l’herbe ou d’autres petits débris se retrouvent temporairement dans l’eau entre deux nettoyages. Cela ne signifie pas pour autant que la piscine n’est pas entretenue.

Nous sommes toujours disponibles sur place et aurions préféré que vous veniez nous parler de vos préoccupations pendant votre séjour afin de nous donner la possibilité d’y répondre.

Nous comprenons que notre camping ne puisse pas convenir à tout le monde et respectons le droit de chacun de donner son avis. Néanmoins, recevoir une note aussi extrême est difficile pour une petite entreprise familiale qui travaille chaque jour pour accueillir au mieux ses clients, surtout lorsqu’elle contraste autant avec les nombreux retours très positifs reçus au même moment.

We are a small, family-run campsite and we work extremely hard, particularly during the high season, to ensure our guests have an enjoyable stay. The cleanliness of our toilet and shower facilities and the maintenance of our swimming pool are things we take very seriously.

We of course accept criticism when it helps us to improve. However, we feel that a score of 1/10 is extremely harsh and does not reflect the experience of the vast majority of our guests. During the same period, we received several excellent reviews, including scores of 10/10, particularly for cleanliness, facilities and service.

Regarding the swimming pool, it is regularly maintained and checked. With heavy use during August, particularly during periods of very hot weather, leaves, grass or other small debris can occasionally find their way into the water between cleanings. This does not mean that the pool is not maintained.

We are always available on site and would have preferred you to speak to us about your concerns during your stay, giving us the opportunity to address them.

We understand that our campsite may not suit everyone and we respect everyone’s right to give their opinion. Nevertheless, receiving such an extreme score is difficult for a small family business that works every day to give its guests the best possible experience, especially when it contrasts so greatly with the many very positive reviews we received at the same time.

We did both. We had a few drinks at the bar. We ate at the restaurant the food was excellent just what we like.
Rob and Jen are great hosts they make you feel so welcome. The staff also were very helpful.
It is such a friendly site.
We will be definitely returning.

Non mi è piaciuto could do with lighting around the back of the shower/toilet block so you can empty the toilet cassette easier in the dark. ( forgot to do this earlier in daylight.)

Mi è piaciuto We are not into fishing, so we walked around the lakes which was nice. Nice welcome from the owner who is British. Vibrant bar area. Large pitches with EHU very close by.

Mi è piaciuto Owners are really friendly and go out of their way to make your stay memorable, we stop over any time we are heading south. The restaurant is buzzing and had a live band, there’s a pool table and fishing though we’ve never tried that.

The fishing was brilliant as are the British owners. So good we stayed on the way South and a short stay on the way back north. Will definitely be back!
