West Bay Holiday Park

Mi è piaciuto Touring wardens Gary and Andy were absolutely brilliant. Friendly informative and helpful. The camping site was very nice and we were right next to the dog park which was fantastic.

Non mi è piaciuto Once away from the touring side the rest of the park - swimming pool and club house etc - was extremely run down, dirty and uninviting. There is a need for a light over the Elsan point at night and there is no WiFi available in the touring area.

Mi è piaciuto We are self contained so can't comment on the showers etc.
The pitch was a generous size but for "fire regulations" it was insisted that we move about half a metre nearer to the edge, which put us about 2 metres from a camper van!
The water tap and grey water disposal was nearby and easy to access.
We didn't use the bar and bingo etc, not our thing at all!

Non mi è piaciuto There was only one elsan point for the whole touring field, hardly adequate. Wifi was not accessible

Mi è piaciuto The 3rd shower in the facilities block was fab so long as you could ignore the stench!

The close proximity of the site to the harbour was a blessing...

Non mi è piaciuto The pitch was an absolute disgrace as it was 50% mud, NOT grass and not being allowed to move or park so that I wasn't constantly in mud was simply outrageous! Let alone a blatant breach of contract...

The fact that there are now 2 Pitch 1's, albeit that 1 is apparently Pitch1A, not that you can tell this without close inspection of the bodged sign or by looking at any site map as pitch 1A doesn't actually exist! Unbelievably the pitches are divided by black painted divider fences that are near impossible to see in the dark, which simply beggars ALL belief!

The offensive stench in the facilities block was wholly unacceptable.

The gross mismanagement of out of hours check-in is simply beyond unprofessional, with numerous signs requiring phoning an out of hours mobile that was out of service. Not to mention numerous signs giving conflicting or wholly incorrect information regarding late or 'touring' check-in directions.

For a so called hospitality business, there are simply too many red flags for me to ever consider staying at a Parkdean Resort again!

Mi è piaciuto Nice site with really big pitches. Right next to the beach and harbour of west bay. Price for touring was very good. The food on the site was really nice.

Mi è piaciuto The area .Theres the sea in one direction and into Bridport the other via a countryside walk.
The site has large pitches.Water hot.Good facilities and evening entertainment with restaurants.
The gentleman on the site entrance is always so welcoming.

Non mi è piaciuto Stayed here before several times but unfortunately this time had to leave a day early due to a family crisis.

Non mi è piaciuto Touring area was very large and on a slope and was lacking sufficient lighting,toilets were a little dated.

Mi è piaciuto Arrived late due to unforseen circumstances, reception was closed but out of hours security came down checked us in and directed us to our pitch, both really helpful and pleasant, all staff on site so welcoming and polite, laye night food service can be delivered to pitch which we didn't realise until next day, but would definitely use in future, dogs allowed in entertainment area and bar

Non mi è piaciuto Toilets and showers could do with an update, having said that they were regurlarly cleaned, wifi not very good unless very near to clubhouse.

Mi è piaciuto Good facilities including showers, good dog area on the touring pitches, very generous pitches, good welcome. Lovely site in a beautiful place.

Non mi è piaciuto Entertainment didn’t seem to reflect what was in the programme we were given when we arrived. Drinks were pricey in the bar.

Mi è piaciuto every thing was clean and tidy well sorted out, All the staff are very polite and
helpful. Andy and Dave are a credit to this site.
