Ullswater Holiday Park

Mi è piaciuto Our overall experience was good. Myself and my friend stayed for a lovely, peaceful weekend away at Ullswater. The young woman who served me upon arrival was so friendly and welcoming, I cannot complement her enough - unfortunately I do not remember her name but she had long dark hair and worked on the late afternoon of 03/06/26, I would like her to be praised for her customer service! (As a young woman myself, this made me feel so relaxed and less silly). The campsite was very clean and well kept, we felt very safe and well catered for. We chose to stay at the overflow car park for better views. Due to being in this area there was only 1 shower in that toilet block - understandably so but this was not a problem for us. There was a chip shop, coffee shop and shop on site which is very convenient. The toilets and shower were kept clean and stocked with toilet roll, amazing as some places lack this.

Non mi è piaciuto I wouldn’t say disliked as such but we had to use the dryer in the laundrette on one occasion, we set it for only 8 minutes and unfortunately another camper had decided to take our stuff out and put theirs in at their convenience despite our belongings still being wet, this was quite irritating but not the camps fault. There were some campers who played music loudly until 1am, I don’t believe they were told to turn it down despite the no noise past 10:30 ruling, again, we are young and stayed up late anyways so we weren’t upset per say but this could be annoying to others especially if you expect that the rules are implemented. Some things I would suggest for a more comfortable experience could be more seating area’s dotted around the camp perhaps. Maybe an area for campers to safely have a camp fire. Maybe to provide some sanitary products in the ladies for emergency purposes. Again, this isn’t necessarily a dislike but just some suggestions for improvement :-)

We're also pleased that you found the campsite clean, well-maintained and safe, and that the facilities, including the toilets and showers, were consistently clean and well stocked throughout your stay. It's great to know that the on-site chip shop, coffee shop and shop added to the convenience of your visit, and that you enjoyed the views from the overflow camping area.
Thank you also for sharing your suggestions and observations. We're sorry to hear about the issue you experienced in the laundrette; while, as you mentioned, this was outside of our control, we understand how frustrating that must have been. We also appreciate your comments regarding noise late into the evening. We aim to provide an enjoyable experience for all guests and will continue to remind campers of our quiet hours policy to help maintain a peaceful environment
Your suggestions for additional seating areas, a designated campfire space and emergency sanitary products are very much appreciated. Guest feedback like yours helps us identify opportunities to enhance the camping experience, and we will certainly take these ideas into consideration.

Mi è piaciuto We had a lovely time at Ullswater Holiday Park. We had 5 quiet, peaceful nights camping in a tent with great, clean facilities in a very family friendly campsite. The site is well laid out and very well attended to with a huge number of flat, freshly cut grass pitches. Multiple shower and toilet blocks meant never having to queue for either, with readily available washing up facilities. We were especially grateful for the microwave in the outdoor seating area on some wet and windy evenings where our camp stove was impractical! Nice bar/lounge area with comfy seating, wifi and plug sockets. Small but well stocked shop with a coffee shop and chippy on site.

After an unfortunate interaction with another camper (completely outside the control of the campsite), the campsite wardens Trevor and Stuart were amazing in helping us late at night and resolving the matter for which we are extremely grateful.

Mi è piaciuto Nice site, lovely toilet block and showers. Bar, coffee shop and chippy on site.
WiFi good enoghr to stream TV in the caravan.

Non mi è piaciuto Tight pitches to get onto. Restricted opening days for bar and chippy. Nothing else within walking distance.

Although there aren’t shops nearby, there are lots of lovely walks around Ullswater if you fancy getting out and about. As for the bar and chippy, our staff do need their well‑earned time off, so opening days can vary but we always aim to offer the best service when we’re open. Thanks again for your feedback.

Mi è piaciuto We loved staying over, such a well organised place and such a variety to set up your tent. Lovely views and everything you need.
Wifi wasn’t the strongest everywhere but that was the least of our concerns. If was about bbq, conversations and connecting with the nature time.

Mi è piaciuto Lovely location, nice staff (contacted me direct as we were arriving out of hours. A decent sized playground suitable for all ages.

Good facilities - shop, fish n chip shop and bar.
