Mi è piaciuto Great location for nearby walks. Very clean pitch area with lots of bins located around which seem to get emptied both mornings. Pitch well lit with a water supply on pitch.
Welcoming reception staff. Option for a chippy or coffee. Didn't access the bar or games room but great facilities.

Non mi è piaciuto I can only talk about the showers closest to the reception but they were the most powerful showers I have ever been in. Far to hot, felt like your skin was being jet washed off, angled quite bad so clothes got wet behind and unable to adjust temperature.

We was on pitch 23, luckily in our case it didnt happen but if anyone had of been on pitch 24 it would have been uncomfortably close.

Missed a trick on not selling Breakfast sandwiches, plenty of pitches went to the coffee shop in the morning of packing up hoping to get some breakfast.

Mi è piaciuto I booked a non electric pitch for two kids, two dogs and two adults. Reception book in was easy and very helpful, small shop and lots of leaflets about the surrounding area. We were shown lots of areas where we could select our pitch we we loved as could pick somewhere quiet and shaded. There was plenty of space and pitch options for non electric. Everything was in easy reach of toilets and showers. Lovely large playground for kids of all ages. More facilities we didn't get chance to use such as microwave, phone charging area etc. Lovely site and staff. I would visit again.

Not dislikes but just a couple of points. No wifi or phone signal where we chose to pitch but that was fine for us and we were told at reception where WiFi reached. Also, dog field is locked and needs to be paid for booked. This is not a problem and it does state this on the website, it is a lovely large secure field.

Kids play park was nice and the shop was handy as well.

Mi è piaciuto We loved our two day stay at this dog friendly, kid friendly site. My daughter enjoyed the play park and I really appreciated the fact the toilet/shower block was cleaned so often! The shop had everything you need and more. We didn’t use the cafe but it looked lovely. The bar was good and the games room was a bonus. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Non mi è piaciuto The only criticism I can think of is that you aren’t allowed to have camp fires but completely understand that past accidents have made them make that decision. The wifi signal is pretty none existent but it meant we weren’t glued to our devices so that’s a plus.

Regarding your comments, we completely understand the disappointment about not being able to have camp fires, but safety has to come first after past incidents. As for the Wi‑Fi signal, it can be limited in certain areas — though as you said, it does encourage a bit of a digital break. Many guests enjoy using that time to walk around the lakes, take in the fells, and soak up the beautiful views, which is a lovely way to switch off.

Mi è piaciuto Good location with amazing views and managed to find a nice large spot to pitch (non ehu). The top end of the site was the quietest (the areas with ehu and the main large camping field were busy). The Chippy was lovely -amazing fish. Shop was well stocked. Kids loved the play ground area and made lots of friends. Staff were all friendly and provided a good service.

Non mi è piaciuto For the number of people camping, the closest facilities were small ( 2 toilets and one shower for women), and so needed a walk away to get to more (and better ) facilities. We always walked to the ones right by the entrance - which was the whole length of the park. Luckily we had our camping toilet with us. The freezer for ice blocks wasn’t great. The first broke down( and someone took all our blocks) and the second didn’t really freeze the blocks very well. This wasn’t great given the hot weather we experienced.

Mi è piaciuto This is by far our favourite campsite, facilities are amazing and the location is fantastic. Spent the days out on the lake by the site marina. Chippy is delicious and the park is great for the children. All round amazing site and highly recommend

Non mi è piaciuto On our last night there was a large group of young males in the shower block. They were shouting and swearing at 23:30pm at one point it sounded like they were kicking the doors to the showers. They woke my young children up and my youngest didn’t want to go into the toilets. The commotion lasted until approx midnight and I couldn’t get in touch with anyone to complain

Mi è piaciuto Lovely site with great hillside views. Clubhouse really nice with friendly staff. Very reasonable prices. On site fish and chip shop added bonus, and very good quality. Only stayed one night so did not use facilities but what I did use was very clean and tidy. Fairly small site but did not feel enclosed.

Non mi è piaciuto No TV signal, and WiFi not brilliant but worked well in the club and as pitch very close to clubhouse the signal was fine.
