Campeggio immerso nel bosco e lungo il fiume, con piazzole spaziose. Personale cordiale, posizione ottima per Lowther Castle e ideale per cani. Alcune strutture datate o poco pulite, e servizi in loco non sempre disponibili (ristorante/negozio).

Mi è piaciuto Been a couple of times now thing that disappointed me it says no gazebos which I questioned when I picked my pack up but there was already a gazebo on the site when we got there I never bothered it didn't spoil my weekend but that's not the point I always attach it somewhere to my van

Poorly maintained and some facilities very dirty. Expensive too.

Mi è piaciuto Setting and the walks from site. Nice club room.
Non mi è piaciuto Unwelcoming check-in. Didn’t have a car pass upon arrival so took a few minutes to be allowed to drive towards reception. Check-in there was adequate and map given with location of pitch. Pitches were poorly maintained with long grass, dirty lighting and electric points. There was a full bin bag of rubbish and a half full water bottle strewn on our pitch which I had to dispose of. The toilet block was ok but cold. The washing up area was disgusting with overflowing bins that were filthy. Cost of pitch was £48 for one night for two adults which was too high.

Non mi è piaciuto Bathrooms very dated. Broken toilet seats.No toilet roll. No hand wash
On arrival called to ask if we could be moved due to very noisy group directly opposite and there were many free plots. We were told there was no access to the booking system and nothing could be done. This was only 5pm. The group opposite were extremely loud until 1130pm and we could not get to sleep and our son was extremely upset as he was so tired.

Mi è piaciuto Location good, with all the wildlife and pleasant walk to Lowther castle.
Greeted by a very warm welcome from the lady on reception.
Football pitch area on site could do with sprucing up and keeping grass short, but the kids loved playing with new friends on there.
Non mi è piaciuto Grass electric tent pitches far too close together, so you are at the mercy of your neighbours keeping the noise to a minimum, and pitches not marked out adequately.
Toilet & showers are not cleaned frequently enough as others have mentioned, and the blocks being a fair walk from the tent pitches is inconvenient.
Pub open(may half term) but no food being served was a huge dissapointed as we would of eaten on site.
The extra charge to bring your dog is madness.
Expensive if you require wifi also

Mi è piaciuto Beautiful location with so much potential but unfortunately it’s as if the owners are focused on the statics/log cabins.
Lovely river for the children to play in.
Non mi è piaciuto Toilet blocks were not cleaned the whole time we were there, tidied but not cleaned. Both blocks are in need of investment. Washing up facilities were in a poor state.
Site is unkempt, after being a frequent visitor to the site years ago I was shocked at the state of the site when we arrived.
Play Park is falling to bits.

Mi è piaciuto Pitch size is generous, good parks for the children, nice clientele. Beautiful scenery surrounding.
Non mi è piaciuto No hot water to wash up, spoke to people who said it had not been available the last time they visited the park, it was also dirty. The toilets and showers were dirty, had not been cleaned in the 3 days we were there and looked to have been dirty a while when we arrived. In the men’s the urinal mats were on the floor. The shop and bakery had both closed down, the pub didn't serve any food.

Overall it was a great place to stay and we would stay again.

Mi è piaciuto Pitch size was great, toilet facilities were better than expected after reading previous reviews. There was hot water available.
The site is a lovely picturesque place and the atmosphere was great for families.
Non mi è piaciuto The only let down was that the pub is shut on a Tuesday and Wednesday (we were only there on a Wednesday) and the games room for children was also closed which our kids were all looking forward to.
