Non mi è piaciuto Where do i start? I stopped here in August and it looked promising the owner/ manager then was brilliant. We went for 1 night 29th of October 26 and it's well and truly gone down hill. No one to answer our phone calls pre arrival, no one there to welcome us, we were sat there id say a good 10 to 15 minutes before someone who was camping there said "you may as well find a pitch and hook up" he also said "no one was running the site" so we did but the issue is there was no electricity on a electric hook up we moved twice to find a pitch with working electric. 1 tiny water tap hidden behind a pitch. Grass was over grown so much we were tripping over it. Our 2 year old stood in dog poo hidden in the grass, showers wernt working. Toilets smelled bad. No hot water in the taps, no soap or paper towels. Certainly had potential but id recommend pitch up remove this site from there site as it isnt fit for camping on. Certainly isnt worth £35 a night should be £10 a night. Id rather have some money back i feel robbed. We shall not be stopping there again! And thats a fair comment.

We stayed at this site in August and had a pleasant experience. The manager at the time said they were going to renovate it over the next 12 months.

What’s happened between Aug and now?

No managers on site to greet us this wasn’t due to a late check in, the site, grounds and toilet/shower block is not being maintained.

According to one resident they have had 2 new managers since Aug. We were told to park where we wanted but beware some of the electric hookups are not working and there is only 1 water point.

Couldn’t get a phone / wifi signal.

In my opinion Pitch up, you should not be taking bookings for this site, it is not fit for purpose. I feel ripped off with the charge for this site.

Non mi è piaciuto Grass was long, needed cutting, some hookups were not working, toilet/shower block needs maintenance or a total renovation - it was horrible.
Access to a wifi signal would be good.

Beware the main roads leading to this site are not good, subsidence causing uneven roads/large dips, not good for caravans or motor homes.

Mi è piaciuto The sign to the park was easy to see. The hard standing pitches were good. The electric hook ups easy to use.

Non mi è piaciuto Signs to direct us into campsite were confusing to which right turn should we choose. No one in reception. Had to look for someone in the rain. Shower block needs maintenance as some showers and toilets were out of use.

Mi è piaciuto Fantastic Location. Bar manager, very friendly and helpful where he could, although not his job.

Non mi è piaciuto Manager sacked days before we arrived. No one to book us in. Half the pitches had no electric working. Another camper had to show us which were working. Showers had doors not shutting and no hot water and mouldy
Bins overflowing. No water to clean T Elsan point. Water standpipes dirty hoses hanging off. Luckily we were self contained but had paid for facilities.

Mi è piaciuto Quiet location. Met the new manager, only been on 6 weeks and is looking to make a lot of changes and improvements.

Non mi è piaciuto Paid £35 and the only real facility we used was a working toilet. Cold showers, doors that don’t lock, generally an overall run-down feeling to the place. The only other ‘campers’ appeared to be long term pitches, which made it feel more like a travellers site than a campsite.

Mi è piaciuto Welcoming site with good facilities, I always stay here when in the area, because of the good location, clean facilities and an excellent welcoming bar on site. Highly recommended

Non mi è piaciuto No restaurant open and was not informed until we arrived. Only one shower working and was cold. No not water at all. No tap near to chemical toilet to rinse. Washing up was right next to chemical toilet.All this for £35.00 per night. Not good They said new management took over. But should have closed or charged less

Mi è piaciuto Perfect for our requirements. One night stay to watch the cycling so this site was in great location for us, very friendly staff. Very quiet site.

Non mi è piaciuto It is under new management so a bit of work going on in the bar and pool area ready for the 2027 season but it will be lovely once completed. A bit if a remote location if wanting to leave the site you def need a bike or car to get anywhere.

Mi è piaciuto Brilliant pod. Comfortable and warm. Nice to have the kettle and toaster. Handy as we forgot the gas for our stove. Great atmosphere in the club with the regulars and drinks reasonably priced.

Non mi è piaciuto The toilets need attention. Only one working in womens in club and that was leaking. Shower block needs attention
