We completely appreciate the comment regarding the distance from the city centre. Providing affordable accommodation during the Edinburgh Festival means operating a little further out, although the site has public transport connections into the city.

Regarding the tent village/location, this year was slightly unusual as we had to make some operational changes to the original site arrangements. For future bookings, we are looking at ways of making the exact location clearer much earlier in the booking process.

N'a pas aimé The campsite was not as advertised the toilets didn't work for 2 days we were there the tent had water in it as had been incorrectly put up. We left a day early due to the issies and when I tried to contact the company to complain I got ignored and when I did get a responce form pitch up I got fobbed off and told to contact the camp site who I cant contact cuz they wont respond. All in all I stars from me. Wont be using again.

Regarding the water inside your tent, our team discussed this with you during your stay and identified that a window had been left open by you, which unfortunately allowed rainwater to enter the accommodation. This was not due to the tent being incorrectly erected.

We must also correct the statement that the toilets were not working for two days. We had 12 toilets available on site, and it is not accurate to suggest that guests were left without toilet facilities for a two-day period.

We were also disappointed that these concerns were not raised with our team earlier during your stay, as this would have given us the opportunity to address them at the time. It was on your final day, at reception, that you raised your grievances and advised that you were seeking a full refund.

Our team were available on site throughout your stay to assist guests with any issues, and we would always encourage guests to speak with us as soon as a problem arises so that we have the opportunity to resolve it.

We are sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations, but we do not believe the circumstances described accurately reflect the facilities provided or the situation during your stay.

A aimé New and well put-up tents which were clean, comfortable sleeping, good facilities (toilets, showers, wifi, firepit, etc.). Relatively peaceful on site, which is so important. Lovely setting, and a good location with easy bus connections.

N'a pas aimé There was blaring music when we arrived Tues 19 Aug from the central campsite speaker, which went on until 10.30pm, despite a campsite rule of quiet from 10am. The showers blocked and water overflowed, and needed more attention to either prevent blocking, or deblock them or clean them better. I also thought the £3 parking charge was a bit unnecessary given the overall cost.

We’re very sorry about the music disturbance when you arrived – this is not typical of our site and we will ensure the quiet hours policy is upheld more consistently in future. Thank you also for highlighting the shower issue; we’ve since increased the frequency of checks and maintenance to keep them in better condition for all guests.

Regarding parking, the small charge helps us with the upkeep of the grounds and facilities, but we’ll keep reviewing this to make sure it feels fair and transparent.

~ Free use of hairdryers in a designated get ready room with tables and mirrors
~ Excellent regular bus links to the City at only £2.20
~ Site encouraged socialising with outdoor games, fire pits, BBQ use etc

A aimé Nice new tent, Good matrsss and bedding. We had good weather so the nights were not too cold.
BBQ and relnxing area much appreciated.

N'a pas aimé Showers were always muddy. Of course you cannot prevent that with the wet terrain. Why not add a few floor squeegees, for the guests to use. Happy to clean up my own shower floor for the next guest.

Regarding the showers, we clean them a minimum of twice a day, but as you mentioned, with the natural terrain there can still be some residue from guests in between cleans. Your suggestion about adding floor squeegees is a great idea, and we’ll look at providing these so everyone can help keep the area fresh for the next person.
