Me gustó New and well put-up tents which were clean, comfortable sleeping, good facilities (toilets, showers, wifi, firepit, etc.). Relatively peaceful on site, which is so important. Lovely setting, and a good location with easy bus connections.

No me gustó There was blaring music when we arrived Tues 19 Aug from the central campsite speaker, which went on until 10.30pm, despite a campsite rule of quiet from 10am. The showers blocked and water overflowed, and needed more attention to either prevent blocking, or deblock them or clean them better. I also thought the £3 parking charge was a bit unnecessary given the overall cost.

We’re very sorry about the music disturbance when you arrived – this is not typical of our site and we will ensure the quiet hours policy is upheld more consistently in future. Thank you also for highlighting the shower issue; we’ve since increased the frequency of checks and maintenance to keep them in better condition for all guests.

Regarding parking, the small charge helps us with the upkeep of the grounds and facilities, but we’ll keep reviewing this to make sure it feels fair and transparent.

We really appreciate your comments as they help us improve, and we’d love to welcome you back for an even smoother stay next time.

~ Hot water boiler to make a brew (bring your own coffee, milk etc)
~ Free use of chargers
~ Free use of hairdryers in a designated get ready room with tables and mirrors
~ Excellent regular bus links to the City at only £2.20
~ Site encouraged socialising with outdoor games, fire pits, BBQ use etc

Me gustó Nice new tent, Good matrsss and bedding. We had good weather so the nights were not too cold.
BBQ and relnxing area much appreciated.

No me gustó Showers were always muddy. Of course you cannot prevent that with the wet terrain. Why not add a few floor squeegees, for the guests to use. Happy to clean up my own shower floor for the next guest.

Regarding the showers, we clean them a minimum of twice a day, but as you mentioned, with the natural terrain there can still be some residue from guests in between cleans. Your suggestion about adding floor squeegees is a great idea, and we’ll look at providing these so everyone can help keep the area fresh for the next person.

Me gustó Beautiful surroundings - tents clean and beds good. Love the fire pit and games area. Food van was great.

No me gustó It was not made clear prior to arrival that there was a small charge for parking. I don’t mind the charge, it was small, but think it should have been communicated prior to arrival.
