Horton View Farm

A aimé This is the second time I've been to this site and it didn't disappoint. Last year a friend and I stayed in a bell tent and this year I came with another friend in my own tent. Another perfect couple of days. The owners have thought of everything and still seem to be adding things to make it better as they go along. They really do take notice of people's suggestions. The huge fridge freezer, kettle and plugs make everything easy. The barn with table and chairs means we can pop over there for lunch or a coffee if it's easier. Especially if you have a backpacker tent.

A aimé Tidy and well kept campsite with great amenities. The showers and toilets were all basically new, and because the site is small we never had issues with queueing or waiting. The owners are very friendly and were great at keeping in touch via email with updates. Everything was very pretty and well thought out, 10/10 would return again!

A aimé Very welcoming & friendly, with a welcome walk around the site.
Immensely clean and tidy facilities - we had free apples / plums locally picked.
Quiet / peaceful ambiance & superb views.

N'a pas aimé Only one toilet & a separate urinal. If this campsite is full, there will be queues ….

Réponse du gestionnaire : Thank you for your lovely review Sarah, we’re so pleased you found the site peaceful and enjoyed our great views. Just to clarify, we do have two flushing toilets in our facilities block (one with a shower and one on its own), plus the urinal and an additional shower.

We are a tiny site and rest assured, we have a strict limit on the number of people on site at any one time to avoid overcrowding.

A aimé We had the most incredible three-night stay at Horton View Farm in our TentBox, and honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better campsite.

The site was absolutely spotless and beautifully maintained. The facilities were clean, modern and completely on point — everything you could want for a comfortable camping stay.

The owners were so friendly, welcoming and genuinely helpful. They were full of great advice about the local area, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

And the location… just beautiful. Peaceful, gorgeous surroundings and some absolutely amazing sunsets. It was the perfect place to switch off, relax and enjoy being outdoors.

We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be returning. A real gem of a campsite and one we’d happily recommend to anyone looking for a lovely, well-kept and welcoming place to stay. ❤️⛺️🌅

A aimé Wow wow wow! We absolutely loved our 2 night stay here this weekend. The whole site is incredibly thought through. The barn offers a fridge & freezer as well as a charging point and benches which can be used if you forget your camp chairs like we did!
The showers and toilet cubicles are lovely - so clean and plenty of hooks to hang things. Usually we come home from a camping trip desperate for a decent shower but not this time.
The owners were so welcoming and we were able to purchase logs.
The campsite is also in a great location with walks on your door and beautiful sunsets. We went to Hythe which is only a 15 minute drive and had a lovely beach day. We will 100% revisit.

A aimé Fantastic location. Nice and quiet which is what we wanted. Jo and Dave were really accommodating and you could tell they had a passion for what they do. The place was very clean. Really open space in front of pitches. Beautiful sunsets….
Pitches were a bit close together. But can’t be helped…
Had a fridge, a plug to charge phones and a kettle which I used… Would definitely return.

A aimé We just got home from an amazing few days here. Dave and Jo were both friendly and accommodating. The views were stunning, it was so relaxing listening to the sound of sheep and birds. The toilets and showers were so incredibly clean. The site felt spacious and safe. The sunset of an evening was lovely. We visited Hythe beach around 15 minutes away and the Tiger Inn (also loved it here) a few minutes drive away. We are already looking to book for next year!
