A aimé Absolutely fabulous site, beautiful setting and super friendly site. Facilities spotlessly clean and new! Children’s playground was fantastic and city of Winchester is stunning!
Local pub about a mile walk away, in Crawley, and is fantastic.
Can’t wait to come back -already planning a return trip!

Thank you for your suggestion about shelves in the showers and over the basins. Unfortunately this is quite challenging in a commercial environment as anything protruding can also cause a hazard. For example when bending over the basin to clean your teeth guests could bump their head on a shelf. If you have any ideas or photos of commercial solutions please send us an email as we're open to ideas and keen to make everything as comfortable as possible.

A aimé We enjoyed our stay in the electric pitch tent for a week at Folly Farm. Kids loved the campsite and the park there. Even though the toilet facilities are a bit of a walk, in general, all are good. Toilets are clean, showers are nice, drinking water filling, a fridge freezer with good space.

A aimé Cleanliness & organization of the campsite. It was easy to find our pitch, facilities were clean and each pitch is thoughtfully allocated an appropriate spot. Site team checked in with us a few times and were really nice and helpful. We loved our time here and are looking to come back in September.

N'a pas aimé It would be good to have a shelf in the showers for shampoo/shower gel.

Although it's a great idea, we haven't found a way of adding a shelf in the showers suitable for commercial purposes. If you have any ideas or photos of commercial solutions please send us an email.

A aimé Very clean facilities and friendly management. I think they put us in an ‘adults only’ area as there were no children in our area. (Which we appreciated as it was quieter). Really well thought out site with dedicated children’s play area. Pub a mile away, easy walk with dog.

A aimé Friendly hosts, spacious pitches, good toilet and shower facilities, nice location.

N'a pas aimé While we were there everyone seemed to either fire up a BBQ or start a fire which caused lots of smoke to drift across the field. We moved inside the campervan because the smell was very powerful.

We're sorry to hear you were bothered by smoke from other campers BBQ's and fire pits, it sounds as though you may have been upwind of these. Enjoying a BBQ and campfire is part of what makes camping so special, particularity for children during their school holidays, but we understand it's not for everyone, and would recommend staying Monday to Thursday when there are usually less fire pits.

A aimé Easy to enter, as the electronic system had our registration plate in the system. Lots of room to spread out and excellent shower and toilet facilities.

The Fox pub in Crawley village serves excellent food and is only a 20 minute walk from the campsite, details are included in your welcome email. We would be happy to point you in the right direction during your next stay and look forward to welcoming you back soon.

A aimé Fire pits allowed, friendly staff, playground on site, price, distance to Winchester. Bathrooms clean and never ran out of oiler roll. Showers good. Good access (by car) to forest walks

N'a pas aimé Lack of space, pitches too small and felt penned in like animals, no space for children to run around in the middle of the field. It was just a strip of grass . Logs and fire pit expensive compared to standard market for such things and the logs were covered in sap that was almost impossible to wash off your hands and had to be picked off. Too far to placed of interest for children to walk from campsite. Had to take the car

We're pleased you enjoyed the brand new shower block and the fire pit option and on-site playground were appreciated.

The first weekend of the school holidays is one of the busiest weekends of the season, our pitches are a standard size to ensure comfort an safety, but on a busy weekend when the campsite is full we understand it might feel a little more compact, although this also creates a very friendly atmosphere.

As well as the campsite playground we provide a large play field with football and badminton nets and enough room for a game of rounders to ensure there is plenty of space for children to run around. There is also a walk directly from the campsite to West Wood and Farley Mount Country Park which is practically all off road and very suitable for families.

The fire pits are very popular at £15 per stay, and we think you'd be hard pushed to get a large bag of logs with seasoned hard wood, natural firelighters, and a small amount of soft wood / kindling to get the fire going for less than we charge, but we're sorry to hear your soft wood contained some sap.

We hope to welcome you again in the future, and would recommend midweek when the campsite is quieter and more spacious, offering a different experience.
