A aimé Excellent site , very well kept . Toilet and shower block were perfect . Great location next to river with lovely cafe.

A aimé Facilities were good, on site shower and toilet were very clean. Somewhere to wash your pots. Onsite cafe was good.

A aimé Great location close to the river. Very clean well maintained site with nice shower block.
Small cafe on site open every day 9-4.

Easy walk , just over an hour and mostly along the river , into York although there is a bus stop in the village a short walk away and an uber was less than £9 one way

N'a pas aimé The water taxi wasn’t operating when we were there but it is quite expensive so might not have used it anyway
(Uber was under £9 for 4 of us back from York. Water taxi was £17 each return )

Just to clarify, the Riverbus service is operated independently—we simply provide the pontoon as a local pick-up and drop-off point. The Riverbus is an experience-based service that offers a unique way to travel into York and operates only on set days. We hope you enjoyed your visit and look forward to welcoming you again soon!

Lovely setting in pleasant village with easy bus routes into York.

N'a pas aimé No shop , restaurant closes Monday / Wednesday out of school holidays. No staff around for help.

Just to clarify, our restaurant is open Thursday to Sunday all year round, including during school holidays. We operate a light-touch self-service check-in, but staff are always available onsite or locally, and you can reach us by telephone at any time if you need assistance. A aimé Lovely small site immediately adjacent to river. Very peaceful. We stayed on a medium pitch (no awning). Water and equipment at pitch. Clean, well maintained toilet block, laundry and washing up area. Cafe and restaurant on site. Acess to Riverbus into York.

A aimé Everything! Gorgeous site, immaculately clean. Peaceful and oh my word; the toilets!!! It was so lovely having a shower that didnt switch off every 8 seconds! This is definitely the most luxurious campsite we have stayed on to date.

N'a pas aimé The fact we had only booked this site for 1 night! Definitely going to plan a trip back up for a couple of nights.

A aimé Toilets and shower block were the best I have ever stayed at. Very pretty location.
Nice cafe on site.
Bishopsthorp is a very pretty village, co-op close by and a couple of good pubs.
On the no 11 bus route, which is 15 mins into York City centre.
