This pristine riverside spot is a stunner, close to York. Guests rave about the new, fancy facilities – especially the showers and loos. Pitches are neat and tidy, with smooth online check-in. Mostly peaceful, though WiFi can be spotty. Wash-up spots are a bit tight, and cafe/ferry hours vary. Some found cubicles stuffy and heard a bit of outside noise.

Liked Great location close to the river. Very clean well maintained site with nice shower block.
Small cafe on site open every day 9-4.
Easy walk , just over an hour and mostly along the river , into York although there is a bus stop in the village a short walk away and an uber was less than £9 one way
Disliked The water taxi wasn’t operating when we were there but it is quite expensive so might not have used it anyway
(Uber was under £9 for 4 of us back from York. Water taxi was £17 each return )

Lovely setting in pleasant village with easy bus routes into York.
Disliked No shop , restaurant closes Monday / Wednesday out of school holidays. No staff around for help.

Liked Lovely small site immediately adjacent to river. Very peaceful. We stayed on a medium pitch (no awning). Water and equipment at pitch. Clean, well maintained toilet block, laundry and washing up area. Cafe and restaurant on site. Acess to Riverbus into York.

The most luxurious site we have ever stopped at.

Liked Everything! Gorgeous site, immaculately clean. Peaceful and oh my word; the toilets!!! It was so lovely having a shower that didnt switch off every 8 seconds! This is definitely the most luxurious campsite we have stayed on to date.
Disliked The fact we had only booked this site for 1 night! Definitely going to plan a trip back up for a couple of nights.
