Great Lake, one of 11 fishing lakes on site
Nouveau
41.3lb carp caught at great lake
Hardstanding and grass pitches
On-site café

Listen up all you anglers: Billingford Lakes and Country Park is a top Norfolk spot for fishing, with 11 lakes and ponds in which you can find some seriously heavy carp (up to 40lb in weight) and a good stock of tench and other coarse fish. These can be fished on day- or 24-hour tickets, and are on top of your pitch cost. But if you’re just not that into fishing, well, there’s more to the place than just that. The park owners also organise nature walks (which are free for campers and bookable once on site) and there’s a good nine-hole course and indoor simulators nearby at Mattishall Golf Club (20 minutes’ drive) too. Although Billingford Lakes and Country Park is primarily geared toward self-sufficient guests, there are two showers and two sets of toilets (shared with the fishing lakes) for you to use five minutes' walk away from the main site. The hardstanding and grass pitches themselves are set in a quiet corner of the park’s 150 acres, but nice and close to the play area and outdoor gym, as well as a café doing a good line in breakfast baps and burgers. There are pubs in North Elmham (which also has a fish and chip shop) and Brisley (both about five minutes’ drive), all serving decent food. The nearest town is Dereham (10 minutes), which has supermarkets, pizzerias and bars.

Réponse du gestionnaire : Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We’re sorry to hear that you found the distance to the toilet facilities inconvenient during your stay.
We wanted to take a moment to explain that our campsite is located next to a protected ancient monument, and due to strict archaeological regulations, we are not permitted to dig or construct permanent infrastructure—such as toilet blocks—within certain areas of the site. Preserving this historical land is something we take seriously, and it does affect where facilities can be placed.

Our site is primarily aimed at self-sufficient campers, and we make this clear in our site description. While we do offer toilet and shower facilities for those who are not fully self-contained, these are shared with some of our fishing guests, as we have 11 fishing lakes on the 150-acre site, including 3 scenic nature walks one aimed solely for children with an activity trail and activity sheet, a large children’s play area, and our outdoor gym. We strive to create a unique and adventurous environment for families to explore and unwind.
Unfortunately, this week we will let down with our bin collection by our usual company, once we realise this we emptied the bins and removed it all into our bin storage area.
We truly appreciate your understanding and your feedback, which helps us continue to improve.

A aimé Nice well spaced pitches which were pretty level. Water and electric posts dotted round the site, all pitches were fairly close to one. The park itself is beautiful, with lovely walks round the fishing lakes.

N'a pas aimé Toilets and showers were not on the actual site and while serviceable, were not great. We were self contained so didn’t really use them.
