A aimé Nicely laid out pitches, hard standing with electric included, lovely walks around the lakes , good food wagon and good biker evening on Friday

A aimé Beautiful walks around the lakes and good nature trail for children.
Children loved the park and all the play activities - archery, swing ball etc.
Site was lovely and peaceful.
Good central location to see wider activities in Norfolk.
Workers at the cafe were very polite and helpful.

N'a pas aimé Pitches narrow if it was busy. We were lucky that we managed to get on an end pitch so had plenty of space to the side of our awning, but if we had to park in between 2 other caravans we would have struggled with our large awning and would have had no privacy between our awning and the next caravan.
Fishing prices are a little expensive, particularly if you are paying for children as well. We would expect to be a little cheaper if you were staying on the site, even though it is a slightly reduced price when you stay it was still quite expensive compared to other sites we've been to.

A aimé The welcome, the quietness and the great walks through the lakes. They are being honest when saying it would help to be self sufficient but for me the toilets were ok and the showers looked fine, although didn’t use them. Food was great especially the full breakfasts. Pub walkable just, or a 2 min drive.

N'a pas aimé We Know there is a problem why you can not build closer to camp site... But a long way to walk if you need them and for waste disposal.. No seats around lake to have a rest and look at views

A aimé Peaceful, good dog walks but unfortunately only on a lead. A good choice of pitches for our three days stay as we were the only ones there! This would be a very popular site if only they addressed the facilities issues......

N'a pas aimé I know they state that they cannot install a new toilet block because of a nearby historical landmark (whatever that is!) but I have stayed on numerous sites that have brilliant, portable portacabins that have amazing warm shower rooms each complete with a toilet and sink. All the pitches are serviced with water, drainage and electricity supplied and this is all that is needed for a portacabin. If they were to supply this then the site would be very popular. The Elsan is a good hike away and you have to carry the cassette as it is impossible to wheel it along on the rough surface. Won't be returning unless this is sorted. Saw no one connected to the site during our stay.

N'a pas aimé The pitch was excessively covered in thistles which made setting up the tent a bit painful and kids kept standing on them. Toilet and shower block is a long walk from the pitch. Only two showers and you can only use one at a time because as soon as the other was turned on it went cold, even mid shower. Toilets were without toilet paper and quite grim by the end of the weekend. Didn't receive a welcome email which apparently had the number to phone to open the gate (gates shut 7pm - 7am) phoned the contact number but wasn't given the number and was just told its in the email, explained i didnt have one and essentially was stuck in but they wouldnt give the number, in the end had to ask another camper to phone the gate for us. All in all a lovely weekend at a really lovely country park but the camping seems like a new addition and the details arnt quite right yet.

All customers are emailed a welcome letter via email I can confirm I sent one to yourself on the email the booking was made under 5/08/2025 with a PDF attached of the welcome letter. we now have welcome letters with all information available at reception which is also our catering bus for campers.

We welcome all feedback and will look at the showers not working when both on. We’re sorry to hear that you found the distance a long way from the pitch, there are also 2 toilets near he reception area which are open 24hrs for campers use during your stay.

We wanted to take a moment to explain that our campsite is located next to a protected ancient monument, and due to strict archaeological regulations, we are not permitted to dig or construct permanent infrastructure—such as toilet blocks—within certain areas of the site. Preserving this historical land is something we take seriously, and it does affect where facilities can be placed.

They had some porta loos x2 but these were disgusting.

Réponse du gestionnaire : We’re sorry to hear that you found the distance to the toilet facilities inconvenient during your stay, as detailed in your welcome letter there are also toilets located at the catering bus on site which are also open 24hrs. The Porta Loos were only added to be used in an emergency for those needing the toilet over night they were only put on site on Thursday 21st for the bank holiday weekend.

Our site is primarily aimed at self-sufficient campers, and we make this clear in our site description. While we do offer toilet and shower facilities for those who are not fully self-contained, these are shared with some of our fishing guests, as we have 11 fishing lakes on the 150-acre site, including 3 scenic nature walks one aimed solely for children with an activity trail and activity sheet, a large children’s play area, and our outdoor gym. We strive to create a unique and adventurous environment for families to explore and unwind.
We truly appreciate your understanding and your feedback, which helps us continue to improve.

We apologise regarding the rubbish twice now in so many weeks our contractor Biffa have not emptied our bins and we have had to chase them, we are now looking at alternative contractors as this is not acceptable.

The toilet and shower facilities will be updated during our close season 2025/26

A aimé - Absolutely beautiful natural surrroundings and walks around the lakes.
- Children thoroughly enjoyed the park and they had lots of chalk and games set up to keep everyone entertained.
- The nature walk was very well set up and kept the children's attention all the way around. It was fun and interactive and very well maintained.
- The site itself felt very safe and there was a big grass space between the 2 rows of pitches which was great for the kids to play on and still be within sight.
- Taps and electrical points between every second pitch so great for hooking up to.
- Staff in the catering van were fantastic. All very kind and interested in talking to us and are a credit to the site.

N'a pas aimé - No WIFI at pitch when it specifically said 'WIFI at unit/pitch' when I booked it. This caused some issues with remote working and I noticed it has now been removed from pitchup.
- Toilet and shower block only appeared to have been cleaned once in the 10 days we were there.
- Its a bit of a trek to the toilet if you did want to use it - I understand this is due to the area being protected.
- Pitches were far too small. Luckily we only had 1 neighbour and they had a small porch. If caravans with full awnings were next to each other it would not allow a safe distance for fires and therefore would be unsafe.
- Area to empty the Black waste was too far and they need to come up with an alternative solution. There also wasnt anywhere to empty the grey waste and it wasn't possible for a number of other campers to empty it in the black waste area as it was too high up to lift the heavy grey waste.

We did end up leaving early as 2 weeks was too much at such a small site for us.

We will look at getting squeegee and mops for each of the bathrooms and the privacy cover is being replaced.
Wifi is available all across the site, unfortunately I’m not sure why you had problems. I’m really sorry as our complete system runs off Wifi on the bus till and everything.
I can however confirm that the toilets and showersare cleaned on Thursdays and Saturdays and again on Mondays, we will get notices put up to let us know that should any of the facilities be out of toilet paper to please call the number or let the catering bus know and we will get it restocked immediately.
